Can I refer to Saks as the smurf?
I mean, we can be a little personal against the millionaire players can't we?
As long as there's common respect amongst us posters, we shouldn't get offended if a favorite player is being called a little name. We ca...

(Preview)
I'm glad that line clicked for a few shifts. Bottom line is...it's only a few shifts. It'll be interesting to see if they can perform like that on a consistant bases. Carb will try to give them the luxury of not playing against the opposing top line or any defensive roll such as being on late in game...

Do you play organized hockey?
You have such a love and passion for the game, that I'd be so surprised to hear you say no.
A couple of ex-employees and cousins of mine took to the ice several years ago and they just love it. You remind me of one of my ex-employees who lives for hockey...

Hey Ando (re: Generals)
(Preview)
Any chance you made it to last night's game. Apparently it is the last one in their current arena, and there were quite a few big names in attendance. Not to mention Tovares(sp?) had one of his best games.

Streit playing well
(Preview)
I've been really impressed with Streit and the confidence he plays with. I'm also a big fan of Bouillion. What does Gainey do when both Bouillion gets healthy? Does he make a move, and use Cote as the 7th d....maybe can add some depth at the Centre position?

We can all agree this kid is using his size when he is out there right, so....why not put him in front of the net for our powerplay, then the opposition will be worrying about moving him and that will leave more time for our shooters on the sides, like Ryder and kovalev....cause most teams concentrate on S...

Article from TSN.ca on Kovalev and Samsonov

It's a lengthy article, but make sure to read the part about Guy Lafleur. Or rather, his article. I guess Andy can add The Flower to the list of bashers.

The squeeky wheel got the grease. Frankly he should of been on the fourth line. Perez who has been working constantly since day one didn't deserve the brunt of the Sammy whinning.

The habs were just a team without work ethic compared to the leafs last night. No excuse for that effort. Carbo should be benching a few guys after that.

To all Kovalev bashers. The habs currently have two wins in regulation and one in a shoot out. Correct me if I am wrong but Kovalev has both game winning goals. He caused the 2-1 lead in Philly and the 5-4 win in Calagary. So Mr not showing up every night could be also be know so far as Mr. Clutch.

Habs Shoutout Stats
(Preview)
Hi, I'm new.
While discussing various players' abilities in the shoutout, keep in the mind the following statistics. Since the shoutout was instated last season, current habs have not been terribly successful:
CHRIS HIGGINS 1 for 1 = 100%
SERGEI SAMSONOV 2 for 6 = 33%
ALEX KOVALEV 2 for...

As of now Johnson is solid replacement for Zednik. He seems to be everywhere the puck is. Too bad he can't finish on his opportunities or he would be a 50 goal scorer!

Red Fisher pretty much sums it up...
(Preview)
"The Canadiens acquired him (meaning Samsonov)at great expense to light a fire under Kovalev, but the question I've got to ask is why someone blessed with as much talent as Kovalev needs anyone to juice up his offence. It would have been a lot cheaper to buy a mirror for Kovalev."
