From the video, it was a Pat Burns coached team, which would make it sometime between 88/92. Unless it was the Sherbrooke Canadiens 87/88 (AHL) coached by Burns.

I believe it was during a preseason tour the Habs had in Russia(89/90?). After the Brawl I think they were escorted right out of the country!

Whenever it was I have to say I think it was awesome! It must take cojones of steel to start a brawl behind the iron curtain knowing that vodka bottles are being weilded by many fans! So I guess the Habs are the real reason for the fall of the USSR!
