Let me see HUET plays a good game against the bruins, he says he's starting to get his legs back for the games,so what does CARBO do ,ya thats great chris but your sitting out the next game against "THE LAFFS" (nice reward)
The "LAFFS" are down and out right now after losing two games to OTTAWA which puts us ahead of them in the standings, and this game is sooooo important not only in the standings but a confidence builder, and a massive non-confident builder for "THE LAFFS". (so we've got our skates on their throats )and what happens.................................CARBO puts ABBY in the nets against the dreaded "LAFFS "
And so you know... "THE END...... of the story

i believe carbo is trying to get both goalies in a groove but i would have went back with huet also . did anyone else notice huet flinch on his right leg last night in the third after making a save and getting back up , maybe hes nursing a small injury .
if it is a small injury then carbo made the right move otherwise i would have put huet back in not cuz i think he is the better goal tender but cuz he needs to get out of his strange funk and 2 straight wins would be just what the doctor ordered to get his confidence back but it is a hard decition since abby has been playing well himself. maybe keeping them in a competitive mode will bring out the best for us? at least thats what i hope
With you guys on this one, was surprised to see abby getting the start, Huet played like he did last year and I thought we would ride his success for awhile, not taking anything away from Abby, but i felt Huet deserved the start. Abby gave up five goals last game. We need this win, losing to the Buds if unacceptable!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I doubt Carbo is going to change from his rotation policy just because Huet had 2 1/2 good periods. I want Huet to be the #1 too, but he hasn't exactly settled into his zone yet.
I disagree, platooning the goalies is a good decision.
If they had a Kiprosoff who needs to play every game it's a different story. I look at it like this, both netminders are exposed to the scouting of teams needing a trade upwards in the crease.
They both stay rested and thereby less likely to suffer an injury. If in game sixty, lets say, one gets injured, the other will have only played half, so thirty games. Twenty two games left makes a total of fifty two games for a full season minus playoffs. The remaining goalie would be in better shape for a long playoff season.
I don't like the idea of play till you lose. I believe that will lead to two neurotic goalies that are afraid of making mistakes.

My take anyway.
Good points but HUET has to play consistant games in a row to get he's game face on.Ward never played many games for CAROLINA last year came in,I think the 3 rd game of the playoffs, and we all know what happned
