Any chance you made it to last night's game.  Apparently it is the last one in their current arena, and there were quite a few big names in attendance.  Not to mention Tovares(sp?) had one of his best games.

Funny you should ask!

And-o had made a prior commitment to a family member...missed the game!

However...the opener at the new GM Centre is this Friday evening and And-o is sooooooo there!

Plus...the Canada vs. Russia Junior series challenge is coming this month!

EVERY single one of the best prospects will be there...as will And-o!

Must still be a bit sad to see the old barn close though And-O? As much as I love these modern new arenas, they still lack the ambiance of the old barns.

Yeah, nothing like the pungent odour of fresh urinal cakes wafting along the puke stained corridors that wind around towards players benches too short for a pee-wee team.

GOOD RIDDANCE to the Oshawa Civic Centre!

HELLLLOOOOO General Motors place!!!

Don't know if this is true, but, I heard the seats at the new arena are burgundy.  For those that aren't familiar with the OHL, one of Oshawa's biggest rivals (perhaps the biggest) is the Peterborough Petes.  The Petes' colours are white and burgundy.

...and And-o, having aged in the Peterborough area, is a HUUUUGGGE Pete's fan!

Seriously though...Maroon seats in Oshawa...THAT explains the involvement with Maple Leaf Sports & Entertainment!!!  They could boob up a two car parade!!!
