Hey Carb
(Preview)
Hey Carb, it's worth a try against Boston. Time to break up the second line like you mentioned. Anyone else agree? The bigger question is how does he go about it without disrupting the chemistry between line one and line three?

Hey Blank
(Preview)
What's your take on the Ethan Moreau loss? Will it hurt their chances to make the playoffs? You have to think it's a huge loss considering the kind of leader he is. He's a big skilled body that the Oilers don't have much of up front!

Canadiens demote Samsonov to fourth line
(Preview)
Canadian Press
10/25/2006 4:41:31 PM
MONTREAL (CP) - It is hardly the grand return to Boston that Sergei Samsonov wanted.
The veteran winger, who was the Montreal Canadiens' big off-season signing, arrived at practice Wednesday to find he was demoted to the fourth line in favour of rookie Gu...

My problem with the line juggling!!!!!!
(Preview)
I don't like this move by carbo!! I need to vent!
I realize that this line needs a wake up call, but this is the worse out of other options carbo could have done. I'll break it down...
1) The 2nd line needs someone better than Plecks as a center. I don't care if the third line is doing well, it could al...

My second favorite non-Hab (Stevie Y being my favorite). From TSN.ca:
Sports Ticker

DENVER (Ticker) - Joe Sakic's milestone failed to help the Colorado Avalanche secure a victory.

What would you guys think?
(Preview)
I think that Higgins and Ryder don't need Koivu, i think these guys are elite players and can play with an average Centerman and still make the line look productive enough.....what do you guys think if Kovy went to the #1 as center inbetween Higgins and Ryder.....and Koivu to Lats and Sammy, then put Pl...

Julien:Deja vu
(Preview)
Given Jersey's slow start, I wonder if Claude Julien feels like it is deja vu all over again. So far this season Brodeur is off to a very slow start, a goals against average of 3.41, and a save percentage of only 889. Similar to Theodore of a year ago. A lot of complaints about the play of the captain (where h...

I'm excited for next game
(Preview)
To see how these lines will pan out.
Also like that Carb is a no nonsense kind of coach. He's verbal on the bench and lets the guys know that they're dogging it during or after the game.
If the guys all played with his intensity and work ethic, the Habs would be the toughest team in t...

4 points in 8 games....
(Preview)
I don't know what they want from Samsonov - he has 4 points in 8 games. Yes his comments were said in the heat of the moment - I think its a mistake on Carbo to put him on the fourth line. Why not bring Lantredress with Sammy and Kovy. I agree with Sammy on this one - you don't pay him 3.5 mil t...

It's All About Him
(Preview)
Kovalev. The fans, the media, the coaching staff spend so much time trying TO FIND the right line mates for him. It's getting somewhat old. He's suppossed to be a top player. Top players are just that, top players no matter who you team him up with. AND don't top players make other players better. It seem...

End the Plekanec Experiment Now
(Preview)
I like Tomas Plekanec, and I think the can be a 15-20 goal centremen, who kills penalties and plays a solid all around game (ala Carbonneau). That being said, he's not a #2 centre in the NHL.
I really, really, really hope Montreal signs Jason Allison. He got 60 points in 66 games last year...

First off, I complained about a week ago about Souray and all his givaways, so I must say that his play of late is quite good.
Now for my post, is Huet capable of staying upright??? The first goal for Buffalo was just plain awfull, the second was a great shot but he never challenged Drury and the th...
