you know what pablo...ive been thinking the same thing to myself for a while now seeing the advertisements atop the site. Hey i dont mind a good looking girl but theres no way those girls are the ones you'll find in those adds, and theres no way im clicking on them. Im sure there is a perk for mario from the owner of the advertisements ( $$$ or soemthing i have no idea how it works ) but either way, i dont mind your avatar and i think that the whole family board thing and all was really just blown out of proportion at a really touchy time. We all know the limits and boundaries here and heck...we're all adults arent we?...age wise any way...some of you make me wonder...

I was about to mention the same... I thought they had been taken off, but it seems they are back (or never left). Is there another advertisement that we can put up or is contracted for a length of time?

In the very near future, GOHABS.com is moving. Well at least virtually. I am planning to move to a new web host. And the one I am looking at comes with, with no advertising.

The one I use now is free, but with tasteless ads.

Juvinile certainly, but offensive? I know it certainly doesn't offend me, and I know that when I was 10 jokes like that were commonplace, so it certainly won't teach anything new to younger kids, so for me I vote that a certain allownace be made for things like that.

If it actually does offend anyone though, it should be taken down since this site is for everyone and isn't meant to insult anyone except Leafs and Bruins fans, but I wonder, is there anyone out there who is offended by that carrot picture?

Seriously, I am curious. I don't know the story last time, but was there actual complaning or was it asked to be taken down as a pre-emptive measure?

I realy enjoyed trying to explain my way around that ad to my 8 year old son. Like I said in my thread about this, what annoys me is that you can't type Hitch**** (Hitch(ock), but you can apparently get some action. And hey, Mario is right, the board is free and ActiveBoard can't operate without any funds.

For those serious about not seeing the ads, simply follow these steps:

RIGHT-CLICK over the banner - a menu should come up and near the bottom have the option stating "BLOCK IMAGES from (name of site)." Choose said option and they should be blocked. Refersh the page. If you get another unwanted add, repeat. They might all be smutty but come from different sites nonetheless.

Before being let go from my post of forum moderator, I asked for the carrot to go simply based on the "trying to keep it clean" principle. I take full responsibility for that.

And Taboo has only one b I bbelieve.
