Wish I could have been there to celebrate that ass-whoopin we gave Theo and the Av's last night but thanks to the great State of New York I couldn't get the night off. Serves me right for trying to do things the right way. Next time I will just call in sick lol Hope everyone had a great time and even though I wasn't there I had a great seat in front of my big screen with NHL Center Ice...........

Wow!!   What a fun filled two days.  Getting to meet Habgirl, Habboy, MC Girl, Rob, Ray Ray, Keylime, Jay1982, and our big birthday winner Zulrath, I want to thank everyone for making GOHABS.com reunion 2.0 a major success.

Helped by the 8-5 thrashing of Jose and Co.  Was there ever any doubt?   Okay maybe when they were up 3-0, but they have Theo in their nets, so of course there was always hope.

I also want to thank my major sponsor LOGOSPORTS (4040 rue St, laurent, corner Duluth in Montreal) for provisif a free Canadiens red, customized jersey).  if ever in Montreal drop by LOGOSPORTs where Robert or Tony will take good care of you and mention my name.  MCGirl and Rob can attest.

There'll be plenty of pictures posted in the next two days.  I look forward seeing them too.

Good work all!!!

Mario

I have some questions:

1) why didn't I see any shots of you all on RDS?

2) how loud were those posts?  They were very loud on stereo.

3) did you all chant "Theo" or were you part of the "boooo" chants?  At one point it seemed like the 2 were competing.

4) anyone catch a puck?

5) did Theo stink it up or what?  I was about to turn off the tube at 3-0 but then reminded myself of who we were playing.

6) did you get to meet players postgame?

that's it.  Glad you all had a blast.  Cant wait for the pix.

here ya go figgy

1) why didn't I see any shots of you all on RDS?

We were sitting on the same side as the cameras and they could not turn far enough to shoot us. Although there are cameras elsewhere, the second deck normally isnt on tv much. and none of us had signs...

2) how loud were those posts? They were very loud on stereo.
a few of them were really loud, but not as loud as the chants THEEEEE-O THEEEE-O!

3) did you all chant "Theo" or were you part of the "boooo" chants?
At one point it seemed like the 2 were competing. I believe all the guys got in on the Theo chants. I said i wouldnt, but i couldnt help it. After i heard a few of his pregame comments, i figured i join the rest of the bell center. I do still feel a little bad for him, but i mean, when your paid that money and you preform like that, EXPECT it from the most passionate fans in the world

4) anyone catch a puck?
If any of us caught a puck i would have been amazed. There is a net behind the nets that goes ALLLLL the way up to the ceiling. There is no way a puck would come even close to us.

5) did Theo stink it up or what? I was about to turn off the tube at 3-0 but then reminded myself of who we were playing.
He looked good early on, but ripple kept my hopes up when he reminded me we were playing Jose Threeorfour
"quote of the day" Ripple to my avs fan friend. "what do you mean avs are going to win. They are already down 4 goals before the puck drops!

6) did you get to meet players postgame?
Nope, not me, maybe the others.

that's it. Glad you all had a blast. Cant wait for the pix.

O.K. I hope I don't make this post too long.... but here goes..

O.K.. We had a blast, the time of our lives!!! We were nervous about meetin' everyone in the days leadin' up to the game... (so much so that my skin was havin' issues due to the stress) but after meetin' everyone....we quickly got over the anxiety.

Montreal was great, meetin' everyone was even better than that. Bein' interviewed on T.V. was awesome & we were able to get it taped. (although my mother didn't catch it in time with our DVD recorder... Ripple's dad got it on VHS.) It's just a small blip & had little to do with the original topic.... but hey! 1st time in the Bell Centre in beautiful Montreal & Rip's & I end up on T.V..... I say, Yabba Dabba Doooooo!!!!

We spent WAAAAAAAAAY too much money in le Boutique, bought lots loot @ LogoSports (great deals BTW... Thanks Mario ) Loved the tour experience (the interview was just the icin' on the cake) Meetin' Turgeon was awesome... he's a great guy. Ripple's soooo proud, he got to pee in a urinal that Guy Lafleur has probably pee'd in. lol (a highlight of his trip apparently lol) & holy crap did I learn a lot about the Bell Centre on the tour.

Bein' @ le Cage before the game was electric... we met a group of young passionate hab fans from Ottawa that had never seen the Habs play live before. Ripple took it upon himself to charge those guys up sooo much... they ended up on TV walkin' into the Bell Centre screamin' & yellin' like they were bein' set on fire...lol (for those at the reunion... I'm speakin' of the guys that said to me "Where is your Husband???? We miss him... where did he run off too?" when he ran back to the room to get the camera off the charger before the game & was gone for 15 mins.)

The game.... well I wish I could say the game speaks for itself... but that just can't happen. .... I can't lie.... it sucked watching all those freakin' pucks go in the net, in such a short amount of time, & right under our noses.... but.... you can ask anyone there... I never lost faith. After every goal I kept remindin' everyone.... This is Jose here.... he's hearin' boo's & chants like he's never had before, it's gonna shake his confidence & we're gonna get the 2. I also pointed out that I was wearin' my Montreal Canadiens Converse Hi-tops (aka my Hab Chucks) & when I wear them, those shoes don't lose.

The conclusion of the reunion....

Everyone was great. Thanks Mario for puttin' it all together, you're awesome & we def. had the time of our lives. It took a lot of work to make this happen... but you pulled it together flawlessly (P.S. Thanks for the ride back to our hotel on Friday night). habgirl & habboy were two awesome people that make one great couple (I'm certain we'll be attendin' a weddin' at the Bell Centre in the future ) their generosity is matched by none & they are surely the life of the party back home as they added big time to the life of the party in Montreal. Obey Kaybe Raybe Baby... A.K.A. "Ray Ray" or just plain "ray" well, we met him briefly on Oct. 6th @ the HSBC for our season opener so we weren't too worried about bein' on the train with him for 11 hours round trip... Ripple & Ray chatter boxed their way all the way to Montreal & Back (literally guys lol).... but I must admit... I didn't stay out of the conversations either (I know... shockin' eh?). Not only was he our train entertainment, he was our tour guide & translator too. Without ya there, we would have been lost... so Thanks BIG TIME. Zulrath was def. the quietest one of the bunch but was a big part of the rootin' tootin' good time. Glad you came in on Friday too, it was a blast havin' there for the whole weekend. Happy Birthday buddy & congrats on the jersey.

To those that could only make it to the game on Saturday.... To Key Lime. Key's Gal, Jay1982 & Chris (dang I hope I remember that name right) It was great meeting you guy's & I hope to see you again @ the next reunion.... hopefully you'll be able to make it for the 2 day party @ that time. Last but not certainly not least (I won't forget ya Johnny) Johab & his Avs lovin' friend Aziz. Sorry your stay couldn't have been there longer.... you guys seem like a blast to hang with & surely you would have added to the whole experience. I'm glad you were able to make it to le Cage before the game... @ least we got to sit & chat & have a great time before headin' to the slaughter on ice. (To Aziz, it's a darn good thing we won... Ripple & ray didn't end up havin' to roll ya up in a carpet & throw ya off the bridge, like they promised ) Next time you'll definitely have to stay longer... let's hope you can make it into T.O again next year & we'll catch a Jay's game with ya.

It was a pleasure meetin' all of ya & I'm sure we'll see each other again. The whole trip was perfect & with a 8-5 win on Theo... well... what a way to end the adventure. I have no voice right now (I didn't lose it completely till I got home & got settled) my throat is killin' me, every muscle in my body is achin' from carryin' all that luggage & loot, my head hurts, we spent 13 1/2 hours gettin' on & off trains & so on... but would we change a thing.....

absolutely not!

See ya for the 3.0

Sorry for the long post guys lol

I promise that my post won't be 1/2 as long as MC's was, I just have a few things to say.  Thank you so much Mario for making this happen.  And a thanks to Skippy(Johab to the rest of you)

I learned a lot about the posters I got to know.  I have to say that my trip would not have been nearly so good if Ray wasn't there.  What a great guy he turned out to be, and and even better tour guide.

Happy Birthday Zulrath, I am glad that I was there to share in your very 1st NHL game ever, man did you pick a good one to go to.

Habgirl and Habboy.  You 2 could possibly be the classiest, kindest people I have ever met.  I was thrilled when you gave Zulrath the jersey that you won, it touched us deeply, and we shouls all be a little prouder being Habs fans today because of that jesture.

Finally, the 2 that I hardly met.  Keylime, thanks for the beer, your alright in my books forever now, and Jay1982, you owe me a beer (just kidding), it was great to meet you I hope next time I hope we can chat for a minute or two, but thanks for coming out.

Kudos!

...and I'll talk with And-o about making 3.0, although he is (as you might imagine from his disposition) a rather shy fellow!

Mario, we had the chance to meet Tony at Logosports on Sunday - and for me to spend yet more money on yet another Habs shirt...great guy.  I came out of it with a nifty little CH for my Intrepid at no charge simply because we mentioned your name!  Anybody gets a chance, drop by and introduce yourself, Mario is highly regarded there!

I got the same one .... Silver & black right?

It's awesome, a nice addition to my third brake light.

habgirl,...you said Intrepid,  im guessing you mean the car. And in that case i have the same one. I am wondering what you meant by a CH for your intrepid. Is it a sticker or some sort of decoration? If so what is it because i am desperately looking for something ( besides those flags that are torn withing a couple weeks ) to represent the habs on the car! Thanks!

Well here I go, first off Mario thanks for setting up this great experience. Just to see the look on Zulrath's face during his first game ever was priceless.  I know how hard it was setting up something like this can be. Great Job Mario, and was my pleasure to meet you, Cheers to you.

Zulrath, your a very impressionable young man with great goal in front of you and hope you all the best in your studies.  But try not to wait another 20 years to see your next game.

Johab, it was nice meeting you and I'm glad you came earlier to the Cages.  Please make sure you say hi to Aziz, but burn his Avs shirt and buy him a real jersey.

Habgirl and Habboy, Two of the most easiest to get along people I've ever met in my life,  We had quite a few pints Friday night and the conversation was amazing.  Its too bad your on the west coast, because I could see us hanging out and having alot more pints.  Class act giving the shirt to Zulrath, but from what I know of you guys, i didn't come as big surprise.  One last thing though, Habgirl how were you feeling Sunday and please take care of that man of yours as he is true gentlemen.

keylime and keylimette, Jay and his buddy, it was totally my pleasure meeting you, I just wish we had more time see how great of people you guys really are.  Too jay, sorry for stealing your seat but in general it was the right thing to do, as the beer was tasting real good, and if Barry does come next time I think him and I are going to have take turns on the end seat.

Last but not least, to my new friends MC and Robby, the whole experience was a highlight but meeting you two was the highlight.  I'm sure this frienship will continue to grow and the fact we live two hours apart will certainly help. You mentioned before how you guys were nervous,  but truth is I was probably more nervous, and you guys made it alot more comfortable.  Well that or the beer we had on the train helped.  Anyways guys take care, and can't wait to see you guys soon, RayRay

Well my new Ontario friend, after way too many pints and running on not much sleep all weekend, I wouldn't have done it any other way.  Because of the company we were in that was BAR NONE the best game I've ever been to in Montreal.  Sunday morning was a very late start and we both could barely talk after all the yelling we did at the game, but we wandered all over downtown and had a fantastic dinner on Sunday night.  For anybody who's ever in Montreal, we highly recommend Vargas - best steak I've ever had.

At the risk of sounding all mushy, I really feel like I've met some new friends, even though I'm stuck way out here on the West Coast.  Y'all were great.  Didn't get to talk much with Keylime, Keylimette and Jay, but am sending high fives your way.

And as for taking care of who has now fondly become known as Habboy, you betcha!  He's firmly in my evil little grasp and will be going nowhere!
