I don't like this move by carbo!! I need to vent!

I realize that this line needs a wake up call, but this is the worse out of other options carbo could have done. I'll break it down...

1) The 2nd line needs someone better than Plecks as a center. I don't care if the third line is doing well, it could also do well if bonk was placed on the second line with plecks on the third. Bonk has played offensive roles before, he can do it again!!! Who knows maybe the third line would work more efficienty!! If it doesn't work, move Bonk back!! Its not like they will suddenly lose chemistry after a few games apart.

2) Why do we need to cater to Kovalev? Samsonov isn't the only one NOT producing on that line, and as far as work ethic goes, I feel that Sammy has a better work ethic than Kovy (don't get me wrong, I really like Kovalev). Yeah Kovy has some game winners, but maybe he needs a kick in the ass too!

3) Samsonov is a recent UFA signing, his demotion will not go un-noticed among UFA's next year if he stick on the '4th line' for a prolonged period of time. This is by no means a 'lets give UFA's carte blanches to play like crap'. Its a 'watch what you do because people take notice!!!' The habs already have trouble attracting people to Montreal, this does not help the situation. I would have kept Samsonov on the 2nd line, and changed kovalev/ or plecks. There is a certain amount you can expect from a new arrival, and although samsonov hasn't delivered, he still has 4 pts in 7 games (on a new team). Which isn't entirely bad, not enough for a 4th line demotion.

4) GIVING NUMERICAL LINES IS PRE-HISTROIC!!!!! The 4th line was tradionally your 'bruiser' line. If you intend on rolling four lines a-la Buffalo, do like lindy ruff, do not call line 1, line 1. You play your lines, and you let the media name lines. I always, even as a player found it harsh and demeaning to see someone play on the fourth line!!!!! The point of a shake up isn't to kick a person down. That is the wrong, old school mentality.
