Pens bombed Flyers. Malkin has a goal per game thus far.
Sabres finally lose...in a shoot out to another hot team, the Thrashers. Too bad, kind of hoping to see them in the record books above the Laffs.
Sounds like the desperate Coyotes are looking to sign Perreault. I g...

So I ventured into enemy territory...
(Preview)
...looking for some insight into the vast emptiness of a Leafs fan's head. I was sure I would come upon posts asking "how could we possibly not have put that game away"??? Or, "where the hell did Mccabe go"?
Instead, I found one post criticizing the Toronto media for criticizing...

NO HEAD NO HEART
(Preview)
Pathetic first period against the Leafs.
Koivu - idiot play retaliating against Peca (didn't koivu learn anyhting from Kovalev)
Rivet - not heart ... his weak play cost us goal #3
Carbo -- idiot decision to start Abby ahead of a hot Huet
Begin - he's minus 5 now I think

3 Star Selection???
(Preview)
Note that I usually don't get carried away with who gets what star BUT who's the drunk who chose the 3 stars tonight?
When you eat 51 shots, you're bombarded all night with multiple scoring chances, and you stop 5/6 penalty shots, don't you deserve SOME credit?
Abby welcome to Luongo's worl...

Strength - Skating???
(Preview)
Sundin is a horse. I have new found respect for that guy. He was in the corner a couple of times during the game and Souray TRIED to knock him off the puck, then Komi TRIED the same thing BUT no can do.

Lines
(Preview)
Missed most of the game and was wondering who comprised the 3rd and 4th lines. Did Pleks or Begin or Lats play on the 3rd? I am thinking Pleks should center the 4th, as Begin is better on the wing, but am not sure if Lats is defensively strong enough to play 3rd-line. Begin also plays well with Bonk, so maybe...

Good job by Carb
(Preview)
He lit a fire under Sammy with the little demotions and asking more out of him! He was our best out of a bad bunch tonight. Bigger question...why couldn't he of worked that hard from the start?
I like the Kovy at center experiment between his counterparts. Carb may be lighting a fire unde...

An idea....

Just wondering what peoples thoughts on this are..
Considering Bonk has been one of our better players on most nights and his obvious chemistry with Johnson...does anyone think this is a good idea for new lines...

Tell you who we could use: Mikko Koivu
A 6-3, 200 pound (admittedly less skilled) version of his older brother? Yikes.
It would be Moose AND Archie, down the middle....

Higgins: Clutch
(Preview)
Wow, how clutch was Higgins' play at the end of the game in Boston digging the puck out from behind the net with seconds left and finding Souray while everyone else on the ice had already packed it in. Definitely the Habs' MVP so far this year.

Kovalev
(Preview)
My take on Kovalev is....he is like that smart kid in class that distracts all the other kids because he is so smart and thus gets bored. I think the coaching staff needs to challenge him more, like (as everyone has been taking about) putting him at centre or maybe trying him at the point on the PP (hmmm sca...

MONTREAL (CP) - Sergei Samsonov isn't asking out of Montreal, he just wants to play more.
The speedy winger downplayed hints from his agent Neil Abbott that he would seek a trade, saying Friday he hoped to find his niche with the Canadiens.

why is NHL attendance declining?
(Preview)
From Chicago to Anaheim, NHL attendance is in decline this season. Denver had their first non sellout since '95. The Habs Blackhawks game had an announced attendance below 11,000. Detroit had their first non sellout in LA in 7 years. Gary Bettman is already doing damage control, saying it is too earl...

Expect Huet to be better tonight...
(Preview)
Huet's next start will be his 5th...and And-o figures that outta be about enough for him to start clearing out some of the wrinkles in his game and get into a solid healthy routine!

He'll always hit his knees, simply by the...

What are the disappointments so far on this team?

to me has to be a few things so far....
