Strength - Skating???

Sundin is a horse. I have new found respect for that guy. He was in the corner a couple of times during the game and Souray TRIED to knock him off the puck, then Komi TRIED the same thing BUT no can do.

To me and it may be just me, I think Markov needs some red bull to drink to get him going. As far as begin crashing the net, I think carbo shhould tell these guys to do just that. Then again I am sure he has.

I thought the Habs' main strength was skating...yet, in the last 3 games, they were the slower team. What happened to Begin driving the net? What happened to Markov's cross-ice rushes?

Big problem, is the lack of mobility from the dmen. If you look at a team like Buffalo they have 6 very mobile dmen, they will attack as a 5 man unit. As well the Sabres d can make that quick outlet pass or a very good stretch pass. Outside of Markov, the Habs do not have another dman that can work the transition game consistently. As a result although the Habs do have speed, most of it is upfront, and it gets negated somewhat when the defence can't get the transition game going quickly.

I with you on this one Wright. If the Habs want to take it to next level, they will never do it with this group of Dmen.

Habs 'D' REALLY, REALLY, REALLY miss 'Beef' & 'Dandy' in a game like that!

...they needed mobility and a good first pass...not a stationary pilon with a telegraphed breakout pass!

Ando   There is a guy down here Named Howie Carr on Talk radio. I know hes  on in canada (streeming on line)because some guy from Montreal always calls in. He uses that word Pilon to describe some of our local politicians. He also uses moonbat and solon  . I had to chuckle when u said pilon

David...if ya didn't laugh, you'd cry!

The pilon tag fit 'em well tonight on the break-outs!

e.g. Rivet: I wanted to shoot him. And he's one of my favourite players.

It is not only quick feet we lack, but quick thinking. "Brain Cramps" and poor outlet passes often come from the players just not thinking fast enough. You can skate like the wind, but if you can't make a quick decision you are still going to get caught flat-footed. The Sabres' D knows exactly what they will do the moment the puck gets near them and that is a huge advantage for them.

but we should still not lose to the buds with guys like White, bell and harrison on the point!  This is one of the worse defeats ever.  Toronto has nobody, except for Sundin.  To get outshot by 30, is ridiculous.

Hey Ray...having said that...Paul Maurice implemented a really good game plan!

...and And-o is not worried because Montreal could simply not play any worse!

(Sundin is a horse...but just don't forget that Tucker is a real, real MAJOR factor)
