My take on Kovalev is....he is like that smart kid in class that distracts all the other kids because he is so smart and thus gets bored. I think the coaching staff needs to challenge him more, like (as everyone has been taking about) putting him at centre or maybe trying him at the point on the PP (hmmm scary thought tho...). Anyways my point is they need to challenge him so he gets involved in the game and doesn't look so disintrested.

Even if he got kicked out last night, i'm glad to see a little fire out of him.

And-o has a little ‘challenge’ for Alexei if…IF…he is so ‘bored’ with playing a game!

Why not take one of his pay-cheques out (which roughly gross’s out to $86,500 PER WEEK) and see how long it takes him to actually earn this amount of money ANY OTHER LEGAL WAY besides doing something with his God given talent!!!?

Cause unless Subway is paying their ‘sandwich artists’ in preferred share allotments…Prince Alexei ain’t getting a better gig!

the only chance of the habs changing kovalev work habit is if they talk mario out of retirement to play along side him

kovalev has been floating by for 13-14 years now ,whats that saying about a leopard and his spots

TSN.ca – Kovalev complained that opponents have ‘tried to take out his knees in three straight games.’

Well And-o is confused Alexei!!!

No mention whatsoever of a tape being submitted to the league.  No mention of the league reviewing any such matter (as is standard practice in the NHL).  No public support from your mates.  No public support from coaching or management either.

What color is the sky in Alexei's world?!?!?!

and-o i can attest to last night attempt , you could see it on the replay . the boston player stuck out his knee as alexie went by , it wasnt a samualson knee but he stuck it out none the less . as for the other game i cant say i saw those attempts . maybe hes getting frustrated with all abuse hes taking or the lack of offense hes producing .

If he gets hurt Habs are in trouble. The team did not respond after his ejection that well. Pretty flat against a bottom of the conference team.

Since when is it standard practice for the NHL to review players targeting stars? Crosby gets targeted, Sundin gets targeted, and every star gets targeted. It is expected. I like that Kovalev sticks up for himself, but I don't like that opponents know they can get under his skin.

Discipline in the NHL has been a joke for a long time and although I don't like a ton of fighting, the instigator rule, as we all well know, allows players to cheap shot as much their heart's desire.
