The Dream is Over
(Preview)
Brad Richards just signed a long-term contract with TB... 5 years, 39 million.
How can they afford Richards, St-Louis, and Lecavalier? I think St-Louis will be the odd man out next season

Richards locked up
(Preview)
(According to tsn.ca) Looks like TB is locking up Richards. What do you all think? I heard a few comments that TB is really tying their hands by giving huge contracts to those 3 guys (half their payroll?) and limiting who they can now afford on their blueline and in the blue paint.

interesting coincidence or curse?
(Preview)
This may be of little comfort at the present moment but Habs fans will justice and Hurricane fans will face redemption in the future years to come. What I am refering to is the curse for any team that beat the Habs in a playoff series. That team has either not made it past the first roun...

Eric Cole
(Preview)
This guy is an ass. I just saw his press conference and he will not accept an apology from the guy that hit him from behind. The Penguin said sorry and didnt want to hurt him. Eric should speak to Justin Williams as Justin did not intend to hurt Saku but Saku had the class to accept Justin's call and his apolo...

What are the Odds?

Two series happening.....Carolina and Anaheim both with home ice advantage. Anyone know any stats re. possibilities of upsets? As I said, I am (probably unrealistically) going for Buffalo and Edmonton.
Any opinions?

Trivia
(Preview)
Just for fun: Name three NHL players from the small Dartmouth suburb of Cole Harbour, Nova Scotia.
One should be obvious, one is still playing (in the playoffs as we speak; apparently he was born in Ontario, but grew up in Cole Harbour), and the third is an obscure former Chicago Black Hawk.

Zednik - Yea or Nay?
(Preview)
Richard Zednik is a bit of an enigma (which Hab isn't?). For two years he was one of our best forwards, a bit of a sniper and the closest thing we had to a "power forward". Then he spends the last year looking baffled and bewildered on the ice, and we're all calling for his head and deeming him t...

Thornton and Peca
(Preview)
Talk about a reversal of fortune. Thornton has an mvp regular season after being traded by the Bruins to the Sharks. Peca gets off to a bad start in Edmonton, to the point that he is playing on the fourth line. Come playoff time, the roles reverse. Thornton ends up a minus 4 in the playoffs, a...
