Hey Johab!
(Preview)
Please don't get defensive but I'm worried about you! I have enjoyed your posts over the last few seasons and now I notice that they are very serious. It almost seems like you're on a mission to protect posts against favoured Habs such as Saks and Theo. It's probably because #1 You are a true Habs f...

Depth-Or Lack Thereof
(Preview)
I have been following the Leafs rise for the past couple of weeks and have come up with some pretty sobering thoughts for Habs fans. For instance. Bryan McCabe, a defenceman, has 47 points so far. Our top scorer is a Center, Koivu, with 29 points. I believe that is somewhere around 60th in the league. Tor...

I am Back
(Preview)
I have read all the responses to my taking a break post and it appears to have had the desired effect. Look folks, this is an AWESOME board here. And I am hoping that no one here ever gets the impression that I do not respect their opinion or that I, because of my extensive background in the sport, feel my opi...

Also, Alexander Perezhogin has been sent to Hamilton.

Habs Ex-Goalies
(Preview)
Vokoun and Garon looking great for their respective clubs. Why is it that when players come to the Habs, they usually stink it up? When was the last time we had a trade and the players coming our way were really good?

Hey Tweedman 2001!
(Preview)
Welcome to the Board. I see from your profile that you're a Nova Scotian. I'm in Halifax; where are you?
(And by the way, has anyone seen Zulrath anywhere? He seems to be among the missing. He's from Yarmouth County, Tweed, as am I originally.)

many issues...mainly goaltending!!
(Preview)
I will say again that Theodore has to be our best player each night and he has been maybe twice or three times all year.....and that doesn't cut it for our marquee player. His rebound control has been brutal and it hurt us again last night. I can't remember the last game he stole for us. ...

Atlanta destroys Ottawa

Wow, what a beating they gave 'em. They are now tied with us for 7th/8th spot. We need to start putting some points on the board.

(Preview)
Gainey ALWAYS seems to move under the radar (so to speak)...and so, perhaps CJ will gain a vote of confidence from the boss soon!
Although I am totally at a loss to explain many of CJ's moves...the guy is clearly a winner at all previous levels...maybe Gainey will spare him after-all???!!!&n...

Perspective
(Preview)
You have to kinda chuckle when you read that teh habs "Got beat by a weak team" when we lose a game. I just watched Atlanta demolish Ottawa 8-3 (we lost 4-0). What an offense Atlanta has! Florida beat a very strong Buffalo team 2-1 last night (after beating us 2-1) and Wachington beat a wicked team in Phill...

Game updates
(Preview)
Begin's injury is not as serious as first thought. He will be re-evalutated on a day-to-day basis.
Bonk practiced on a line with Murray and Perez. He might play tomorrow, it will be a game time decision as the groin is still sore and needs to be completely recovered before playing.

Month Ahead
(Preview)
I se we are playing Ottawa twice, Carolina twice Nj and calgary and a few others. Not to mention we go on another long road trip. I hope this team gets going soon, because we could be looking up at most of them in the next month. I still do not feel the chemistry is there for this team to Gel. What it will take on...

Just curious
(Preview)
How many people who post here would rather see Montreal finish in last place for 2-3 seasons and grab some REAL talent in the draft( Staal, crosby, etc...), than finish mid pack, make the playoffs and lose after 1-2 rounds?
I would rather suffer for 2-3 seasons knowing that the team is building towar...

With the new CBA, can the Canadiens take Bonk to arbitration?

So what are the rules for teams taking players to Salary Arbitration, in what effect is reverse arbitration?
In the Habs case, can they take Radek Bonk to Arbitration at the end of this season?

Taking a Break
(Preview)
Guys and Ladies- I have decided to take a break from posting on Go Habs for awhile for the simple reason is that it is becoming exhausting (and really not alot of fun) to have to come on here and continuously defend a very good coach. To be honest, reading comments like "the guy is a Moron" and "Let's put thi...

Hey Barry! I have also noticed that Streit is playing better and seems to be more confident with the puck! I actually think he is moving up the depth chart passing Komo and Dandenault!

I read all posts and rarely sense personal attacks. Just strong defense of a position. Barry33-I am with you on the CJ thing. We all want this team to get going and unfortunatly the itchy trigger often lands on the coach. Stupid in Montreal's case. CJ is very very good.
But why leave? This is not a perso...

Who agrees that it's Saks last season in a Habs iniform? Being a free agent will land him big money in the off season that Gainey won't want to pay for a part time player! If Saks wanted to be here long term, he would of signed longer term for a little less dough! Gainey won't have a choice but to trade h...

Team on the downturn, posters on the downturn
(Preview)
Funny that as the team slips in the standings, we are losing posters as well. Maybe it's like this in the dressing room. Some of the players are trying to say this needs to be fixed and that needs to be fixed. The coach is saying do this and do that and some players are basically saying screw this. We'll wait...

Saks vs coach
(Preview)
Well our leadership, Mr Captain was back last night and made no difference on how the team played. More stupid penalties, lack of skating and poor defense. The coach can only motivate this below average talented team so often to squeek out wins! His job is to coach concepts while the Captain's j...
