Gainey ALWAYS seems to move under the radar (so to speak)...and so, perhaps CJ will gain a vote of confidence from the boss soon!

Although I am totally at a loss to explain many of CJ's moves...the guy is clearly a winner at all previous levels...maybe Gainey will spare him after-all???!!!  One would think that he would have been removed already if he were the perceived weakness (lord knows And-o would have sent the guy packing before Christmas for his Dags/Ribs "lovefest")!

And-o now feels that it is quite possible that a close knit group of players are souring the dressing room...and Bob might cut out the heart of this cancer soon!

...anyone have any guesses who the main problem player(s) in the dressing room might be???

And-o has his suspicions...you can see "issues" when goals are scored and players celebrate in isolation...or in small groups!

...ever notice that Craig Rivet always seems to either get REALLY happy about a goal...or merely turn and skate away?????  Hmmmmmmm!

And-O Barry33 totally agrees with you. One of 2 things needs to happen very soon.

  1. Gainey keeps Julien and makes a trade or 2. This tells the remaining players this. "We are in charge here not you. You willl learn the system and play it or be in Columbus or Hamilton

  2. Fire Gainey and stand pat. This tells the players that Gainey has confidence in them and it is now up to them to right the ship.

To me there is no in between. I agree with And-o in that I see problems with how the players are on the ice with each other. Watching Toronto I see them ALL smiling and congratulating each other after a goal. I do not see that in Montreal.

Gainey's the best in the business. It's too bad that the Thornton heist happened before the Habs were able to pull off some grand larceny.

Something tells me its a division between the French and English speaking. No proof, just a gut feeling. ( Ribs/Dags/Theo/Begin) Vs ( Koivu/Rivet/Kovalev/Zednik/Souray).

Ribero is the problem. He actually thinks he is worth something. Lets get his big head playing in Columbas where no one will know him, or even give two SH$##'s about him. Finally that clown would recognize what a useles fool he is outside of Quebec...

if you remember 2 years ago it was the same problem... 2 group in the dressing room. and guess what, Ribeiro IS at the head of one of them.

In my opinion, he's the first guy that needs to go. followed really closelly by Dagenais (i still can't figure out why he plays so much)

Earlier this season, Ribs made a comment to the Journal de Montreal to the effect that his line would be producing more if Ryder could finish more of his set-ups. A real team player.

And Dagenais -- that guy might have a good shot, but it looks like he's running on the ice. Not to mention that he can't turn left -- like Zoolander.

One thing the Broons wanted to make sure was that Joey Thornton was shipped as far away form beantown as humanly possible in the NHL. Ya don't get much further in NHL wilderness than San Jose.
