Why leave??

I read all posts and rarely sense personal attacks. Just strong defense of a position. Barry33-I am with you on the CJ thing. We all want this team to get going and unfortunatly the itchy trigger often lands on the coach. Stupid in Montreal's case. CJ is very very good.

But why leave? This is not a personal attack...but people should post opinions through good and bad. Defend your positions and don't take things personally. I read all posts and figure I know who gets the game and who does not. I am sure some people figure I am clueless for having such a hate on for Ribero...oh well.

In short, keep the posts coming boys. Lets be realistic, Montreal will have good stretches and bad ones. Post away!

Good post Muller! We need all the board family members to get through the hard times! I for one disputed your Ribs posts but always respected your opinion even though I thought them harsh.

From what I read of Barry's goodbye note, I think that he is just getting tired of responding to CJ related posts, as though it is his responsibility.  I have read some posts where, in one poster's opinion, CJ didn't put the lines together correctly, or used one guy and not another, and then the poster(s) call(s) barry33 to the carpet for it.  I have more respect for barry to not give in and call for CJ's head than if he were to agree with those who would have him fired.  For Christ's sake, the man is his friend.  His posts responding to those naming barry directly to defend CJ and CJ's actions have been full of facts, not opinions.  And proven facts (ie. CJ is a rookie coach).

While I respect the right to post opinions of the coaching staff, the players, upper management, ownership and even concession stand employees, I wish that direct attacks on the individuals on this site would come to an end.  Have a problem with CJ?  Then voice it.  If anyone feels that your thoughts warrant a response, they will.  I, too, have often thought about directly criticizing posters when I disagree with them, but how does that add to the topic at hand?  It doesn't.

I'm sorry for sounding so preachy, but I, like I'm sure alot of you, have seen this coming.  I have been away for a week (I use the high speed connection at work) and as I caught up on the posts, my God, I'm going to need to be talked in from the ledge.

So, as I prepare to step down from my soapbox, while I wish that everyone would stick around, I can say that I understand why they are not.
