Barry gone Streit!

Hey Barry! I have also noticed that Streit is playing better and seems to be more confident with the puck! I actually think he is moving up the depth chart passing Komo and Dandenault!

This is my chart in relevence to importance from top to bottom:  Markov, Rivet, Souray, Boullion, Streit, Dadenault and Komo.

I hope Komo can adapt to the quicker skating tempo. We certainly could use his size. Is it a skill thing or between the ears?

Komi---I think the game has changed. hHs size was once a huge asset but times have changed. Now you need skating, and a good breakout game more than size. Chara is huge but the guy can skate and move the puck.

Given how the game has changed, I doubt Komi would be a first rounder now. More like 2-3 rounder.

Unfortunately, those skills are hard to learn, maybe even impossible. The need for a big clumsy d-man is no longer required. Before you needed that guy to clear the net. What is Komi going to do?? I hope he is young enough to adapt.

2 months ago I was agreeing that Streit had to go. But I am telling you, IMHO, this guy is turning into a bonafide NHL'er. Maybe this is the kiss of death saying it. He has moved ahead of Komisarek legitimately. Right now Komo is a victim of numbers. We have too many, big and slow dmen who cant move the puck fast enough. Streit has very fast feet. The difference with him now is that he is not making as many mistakes getting the puck out of the zone. He has always been fast and mobile and he has a decent shot. I am now starting to see what they saw in him as well as Dagenais to an extent.
