I have no problem with that, but what is troubling is that there's no guarantee that we are building. While our drafting is improving over the pitiful showing of the recent past, there's still no sign that it can be the only machine in play to get us to where we need to be.

Taking the handcuffs off that were slapped on years ago by the media and certain fans is what's needed most. We could have the greatest GM and coach on the planet, with the players to match, but none will perform at the top of their game in the cesspool of second-guessing that constitutes Montreal in it's current state.

I'd be looking at 4 or 5 at this rate, rather than the 2-3 year figure that could apply to any other team.

But who wants to support any other team?

Im sorry but that last cup was BARELY complete. 10 OT wins in a row is ALOT of luck and bounces our way. Games could have gone either way EASILY! And as for "rebuilding"....i thought we were past that. We sat at the bottom of the league already...we had our stab at top picks and got nothing. Price didnt even make the starter for Jr. Team Canada....some #5 pick. Im sorry but im still not happy with that pick. And Latendresse has been far from impressive...benched twice so far...0 points in 4 games. At least Chipchura looks like good news wearing that C. To be honest id like to see the team we have NOW which is CAPABLE of getting 4th in the conference play to the level they can and then get better over the offseason. With all the injuries and problems we have right now theres too many things to fix and we cant take notice of the real things that need fixing. MAJOR fix is 2nd line Center...i like ribby but...theres alot better and i think we can get someone. Offseason id LOVE to see either Lang or Datsyuk come our way. Lord knows Detroit cant hold on to them forever!!! and get rid of Ribby, Bonk, and Dagenais....i think thats enough $$$ right there for 1 of them.
