Worst Habs team in 20 years?
(Preview)
If they keep playing like this, I'm afraid so.
Maybe I'm not remembering correctly, but has there been a worse performing (I'm not talking about the current record), shallower, less disciplined team in recent years?
I'm all for a steady, patient building of the team, something I keep advoc...

Let us put the blame where it belongs
(Preview)
I expect Claude to be out of a job here sooner than later and I am actually looking forward to it so that I can just go back to enjoying the game instead of worrying about him. But the real blame here lies with Bob Gainey. He traded away a very reliable backup goalie for Huet (sorry he did not get it done the las...

Another stellar 20 minute performance!
(Preview)
How was that for a quality effort all around!
CJ's lines were tragic...and it is just amazing how he keeps coming back to Riberio immediately after the kid is responsible for a defensive zone breakdown!
And-o HAS NOT CHECKED...but I'll bet anyone that he had an even strength...

Habs going to Olympics

So far, we have Koivu, Bulis, Zednik, and Streit, I believe. Surely Markov and Kovalev are locks for the Russian team. Is there anyone else?

About Johnm defending Koivu. It's simple really. Koivu is no different than most elite players in the game who bring it all on the ice. They all seem to miss alot of games due to injury. As oppossed to a mutant like Ribero who never getsa hurt because he never playes hard.
What I don't get is why certain p...

One thing I don't like about a Habs game
(Preview)
Is all the dumping the habs do into the offensive zone, even on a power play. They hand the puck right over to the other team. We would get better chances if they would walk in atleast a few steps and either pass it to the opposite, drop it to the D. Or simply shoot it at the goalie from the top of the circle.

$35M suit againt MLB players for faulty phone cards.
(Preview)
Here's a good reason why I think we need a non-Habs and non-hockey page. We all love sports here and there is a lot of interesting stuff out there to talk about (espcially during the summer and since we all like each other what better place to do it.)
Anyway, according to TSN.ca, 5 MLB play...

Ted Nolan inquires to coach the NJD
(Preview)
I hope he gets it. Currently, he's having success with the Wildcats here in Moncton (I should say "there in Moncton" being as I live in Dieppe.) He seems to be a very good coach and despite what might have happened 8 years ago he can still make any team better.
Some here wanted him to...

Well, many of you know me and some probably don't but I really have been only posting when I have a beef with something lately. I can honestly say that if CROSBY made this Canadian Team I would have lost all hope for the "executives" they made a good call on that one. Crosby has not prov...

I missed this one, but just read the line score. Could anyone pease give me a synopsis?
I see the Habs had the edge on shots, and even had 43 shots on Kolzig but he wasn't even named a star. How could that be?
Zednik and Begin both scored, which is very good to see.
How was Huet?
