Well, many of you know me and some probably don't but I really have been only posting when I have a beef with something lately.  I can honestly say that if CROSBY made this Canadian Team I would have lost all hope for the "executives"  they made a good call on that one.  Crosby has not proven he can do it.  This is his rookie season in the PRO's, he had a poor showing at the Memorial Cup, he surely didn't lead The Jr. Canadians last year. Good call I say.


Doan does not belong, does this guy even know what the net looks like???  and if McCabe would have been added he better be playing on an offensive line because he sure can't play "D" I mean how many give aways does McCabe have to go with all his assists this year.  He passes the puck lots --- to the wrong team included.


My main thought is THANK YOU FOR NOT INCLUDING Sid "the kid" he does not belong with this group of players, and should not have been considered at all, besides let him get an Attitude Check before his EGO gets any bigger!!

Let me address your reasons for feeling like you do:


This is his rookie season in the PRO's  So what?  What does that have to do with it?  Is there a rule banning NHL rookies from the Olympics?


He had a poor showing at the Memorial Cup  He had 6 goals and 4 assists in five games, leading all players.  What the heck do you want?  Something better than #1 in scoring?


He surely didn't lead The Jr. Canadians last year.  He was 17, for God's sake!  He finished third on the team, second in goals.   Plus what does this have to do with the Olympics?


Let him get an Attitude Check before his EGO gets any bigger!!  So guys who assault others from behind or kill their friends while driving too fast after a couple of drinks are OK, but a big ego is grounds for leaving him off the team?  Puh-lease!!!!!!!!!


Sidney is the 14th top Canadian scorer in the NHL as we speak, playing for a team that sucks.  I believe he belongs on the team, but I had no real qualms with him not being on the team - he'll have his day, surely - but your reasons are asinine at best and childish to boot.


All that aside, it's good to have you posting again, Inc.  Now try again - with kindness this time!

Nil I do have to agree that Sidney shouldn't have been included on Team Canada, but simply because there are many other NHL players who have payed their dues to this point who do deserve a spot on a team. Chances are Crosby will be on the team next time around and from then untill he retires anyway.
