My take on winning the Cup
(Preview)
There's two ways of doing bussiness for Gainey. Wait for guys like Chip, Locke and Kots to make an impact in a few years or make key trades now to fill key holes and go for it now.
Maybe we're not far off if we add the right player or two. Kovy and Souray for Madano and Zubov for example.
&nbs...

Carbo should impose some very basic rules for ‘shoot-outs’!
(Preview)
And-o is both amazed and appalled that these ‘professionals’ do soooo poorly in what essentially equates to hockey’s version of a ‘free-throw’! In fact, although scoring between 66%-and-75% of the time on such clear breakaway situations is not too much to ask and expect, simply recording a...

Shortly before the NHL regular season got under way, we looked at the biggest impact rookies in the league, but that short list hardly covered all the newcomers.
Throughout the league, there are a number of players either getting their firs...

Lats
(Preview)
What we need to realize is that Lats may not improve in juniors like we think. He needs to play with men. Even practicing and being in their presence will make him a smarter player. He'll get his ice time but for now he has to improve as a hockey player. Carbs and co want to take it slow with him. He does...

It has only been 2 games but in my opinion Carbo has done very well behind the bench so time for me to eat some crow.. Shades of Murray Baron .. remember him, "Baron von Pylon".

I hope that Carbo replaces Souray with...

here are my thoughts
Souray....Pylon. Im sorry, hes a GREAT guy, love his leadership, he is great on the PP and not bad 5-5 BUT on odd man rushes and 1 on 1 he is TOO SLOW!
Higgins Koivu Ryder line was AMAZING played and Awesome game and Koivu looks better than ever!!
Kovalev....same old unmotivade...
