True hab fans ... and especially a habs fan from La Belle Province, would not be arguing that its okay to lose to the Leafs, or saying things like, well its only game #2.

and for the record, I'm living in Toronto for 8 years now.

Wow - this is part of the reason why I have not been around for a while posting on this board. Such negative comments from someone who I belive really doesn't know what he is talking about. The likes of Barry33 and AB Habman have said it perfectly, if we are having MUST WIN games and it is only the second game of the season - - - then I will have no hair and no fingernails left by next weekend. This is crazy.

And for what you have said about Souray. Souray is actually my favorite player on the team. He is huge out there on the ice. Yes, he has made mistakes, and so do ALL players. Look at Kovalev, this guy gets paid top dollar and by the end of last year it looked like HE was standing around watching the puck. I love Kovalev....and Souray. My point is you can't blame a loss on one player, thats ridiculous. Back in 2001-2002 or whenever it was, when the Habs made the playoffs with the Bruins, Souray was there all the time shooting from the point - which is what he is best at - shooting from the point with his hard shot.

If you bench Souray then you have no defense at all. The two best defensemen on this team are Markov and Souray. Basically you are saying that since Souray did not play well in games one and two lets bench him????

Think about what you are saying. He really didn't play that bad.

I will cut alot more slack to someone like Souray (and Koivu for that matter) who show they care night in and night out and lead by example. But when I see guys floating out there it just burns me up. Maybe I will go to the office this week and put my feet up on the desk.

Seems like Sheldon's family is now posting on the board (or maybe Sheldon himself under assumed identity).

Well he's not the fleetest of foot, but he gives you one of the hardest shots in the NHL...which I believe offsets his mobility...he also hits hard and keeps the puck in on the PP (take a look on the PP next game) .

At best, Souray is an effective offensive weapon with MAJOR defensive liabilities. We saw how he can be effective (PP goal vs Leafs) and we saw how bad he can be (HE GAVE AWAY 2 points in the standings to the Sabres, and cost the habs a 2nd point by losing the game)

And for those who agree that Saturday wasn't a must win .... you're entitled to your opinion. As am I .... Saturday night was a must win for more than simply because it was a tilt with the hated maple leafs ... it was also key for Carbo to get a win, and the habs also needed to score at least one win on the 3 game road trip.
