Thanks guys
(Preview)
Its been a fun year but with the Habs out of the playoffs I won't be watching much hockey. I know I am not much of a hockey fan but I am - just like watching the Habs :)
Anyways just want to thank everyone for their comments and feedback.
Thanks to Huet for making it possible to get into the playoffs...

Some Perspective
(Preview)
As bad as we feel , how would you like to be a Flyers fan today? For another year a Flyers team with decent expectations gets knocked out again. And they did not lose 2-1 in overtime. They got blown out 7-1 (the 3rd lopsided Sabres win in the series). They were not the 7th seed losing to the 2nd seed. Th...

Message for Barry

Did Claude Julien keep up with watching the playoffs and the Canadiens?
Also next question, will any members on the Canadiens be invited to Team Canada at the World Hockey Championships?

To quote And-o's favorite episode of 'The Trailer Park Boys'...
(Preview)
..."that's the way she f#$kin goes boys!"
A team with Steve Begin playing the role of number one centre just about took one of the top 3 teams in the league to seven games!
...disgusting way to end it though!

Not Acceptable
(Preview)
For the team that we have, and the players we have, we had a very good, probably right on par for what we'd expect.
However, this isn't the Leafs. This is Montreal. And the last two playoff appearences we were "happy" to beat the Bruins, then lose to Carolina & TBay respectivley.
I...

exactly why southern cities don't deserve NHL teams
(Preview)
First off, I was watching the game at a friend's house, and had HIS msn messenger open. He's from Raleigh and is one of my moderators at my website. After the game, I threw a few redneck comments his way, to ease my pain (which is normal between him and I, we meet every summer and a close friends in real life)...

Ryder the goat

Ryder needs to work on his fundamentals. His sloppy play on the line change cost the Habs a goal .... and unfortunately it means the season is over.

Pre game rituals and superstitions
(Preview)
Players, especially goalies, often have a ton of pre game rituals and superstitions. Almost every game I've played as a goalie since the mid 70's as a kid, when I got dressed it was always left sock first, left skate first, left pad first, never varied from that. When I roughed up the ice in the crease and...

Three stars
(Preview)
As always, there are differences of opinion on the three stars.
CBC had them as 1 Ward 2 Souray 3 Stillman.
I always thought CBC used the same ones as the Bell Centre's official ones. But I see NHL.com has them as: 1. Huet 2. Ward 3. Stillman. (I assume this was the Be...

Grapes and broken sticks
(Preview)
Far be it from me to use Don Cherry to back up one of my arguments, but............
I stated a few days ago that when a defenseman broke a stick while on the PK, the forward should not give him his stick. It made more sense to me that the guy who was pressuring the point men (i.e., a forward) needed hi...

Goodnight and see you in October
(Preview)
I'm not going to point fingers at the loss. It sucks and was a terrible end to a gritty season. This series proved 2 things. We have a serious glaring hole in the scoring department AND we cannot win without our leader. So, until the fre agent market opens (or the trade season comes around) I think we need t...

So who is going to step up and help out Huet...who's going to secure their place in Montreal Canadiens history with a HUGE performance tomorrow nite.

Alexei Kovalev - Simply the best tal...

Good Luck Charms
(Preview)
OK Boys and Girls...I have brought out the underwear that I wore in games one and two. Thankfully I did wash them but I am hoping that the old charm is still there. I have not worn them on game day since after the second game and I am now convinced that this is the problem with the habs. So they are back on, hole...

Saku - this can't be true!
(Preview)
Someone told me this morning that he saw on TV (on one of those bottom of the screen "ticker" messages) that Koivu would be in the lineup tonight.
Surely, this cannot be true - especially with what I just read about his hospital experience (that itself was hard enough to believe - what morons!).

We can't win without Koivu
(Preview)
Without Koivu we look like a bad team. It just seems like the boys are so disorganised. It's so frustrating. No one thought the series would be easy for the Habs but and if it weren't for the terrible game 3, we'd have a week of before taking it to Ottawa. Now we need to play the 2 best games of the season witho...

Just so long as the crack of And-o’s arse points straight to the ground from underneath a Habs jersey…and bear’s crap in the woods…and salmon swim upstream to spawn and die…and just so long as babies are born…no Montreal Canadiens team lead by the likes of Bob Gainey will ever lose four playo...

It's too bad Montreal spent so much time trying to develop Ron Hainsey and giving jobs to Karl Dykhuis & Stephane Quintal when Francois Beauchemin was in the system. Beauchemin has had a great year with Anaheim playing 25 mins a night with Niedermayer, and last night he drops the mit...
