Even if we lose tonite I am happy. Because this team is going down hitting and swinging and with some fire. I can handle getting beat by a better team but not when we roll over and die. I get the hugest kick out of Carolina complaining about goalie interfernce. Now teh refs are calling it. Only took them 5 games to read the rule book.

Holy Crap.

What a finish. That was an awesome last 5-10 minutes of hockey.

The Ribs line has taken two extremely long shifts which isn't good. They looked tired at the end.

Still, Kovy manhandling Adams sans his stick was a classic Kovy moment. That guy doesn't take crap from anyone.

Gotta say, I loved that little battle.  I don't know what's ailing him, but Kovy is a trooper!

Now I have to charge up the battery on the pacemaker to get ready for OT.

Prediction: Ribeiro wins it!  He's due.

just like barry siad.....win or lose i'm happy with determination and effort this team has played with tonight.  they are throwing everythin gthey have at carolina and we'll just have to wait and see if it's enough.  either way we showed we belong out there with carolina and can compete with anyone for years to come.

way to go boys, now just put one home....

zednik scores the winner for the habs

I feel numb.

I could come up with about fifty "what if"s, but I don't have the mental energy at the moment...............

no shame, good effort by the boys. Lousy goal, but it happens.

This was one of the best games the Habs have played all year. There are some what Ifs, but I m also to drained to think about it. It was an exciting series and I am very proud they made it this far. As I look at this team, I hope there are a few that are back next year. Great Effort Boys

The sucky part about being a goalie (and I know) is that you can stand on yoru head all season and the one bad goal you let in is the one that peopel will remember. We got beat by a much deeper and more talented team guys and girls. Carolina is where Gainey probably hopes to have the habs in a couple years. We are out there playting with the likes of Perezhogan, Plekanecs and Murray tryiong to compete against guys liek Eric Staal and Marc Rechi. Good effort but sometimes you just need to tip your hat to a better team

I want to sleep for the next week.

What an emotionally draining game. That was sick.

Good effort by the Habs but what seperates the winners from the losers is the ability to finish, something the Habs don't have, especially when our little Finn is out of the lineup.

This series does indeed prove that the Koivu has become an integral part of the Habs entity. If the Habs were a human, Koivu would be the heart. We missed him and we were lucky to push the Canes as much as we did. Let's be happy we did not pull a Rangers and fold.

Good work boys. Better luck next year.

Come now...there were periods of poor officiating the whole series?  In the end the better team won...It was a great game...a great series!  I think the habs, with Huet, will be even better next year if they can make a few more acquisitions.  I think the team that comes out of the east will take the Cup....Now, GO CANES!...

As a Canes fan I'd like to return the tipping of the cap to the Habs.  I agree that the Canes are deeper, but the way the Habs fought the whole way, and especially after they lost Koivu ... all guts man, all guts.  A great series by two fine teams...Congrats to the Habs for a fine season.

Surge, Hats off to your team, they worked hard and did what needed to be done.

Barry, as a goalie, I don't care if it was deflected, it was a weak goal...SO WHAT! Christo played like a hall of famer since they gave him the ball, I am so proud of him!!!

Saku, man what stones! As hurt as you are, you showed your face at the rink man, I've never been more proud of a Habs captain (and remember, I'm not one of the Saku supporters). No hab has anything to be ashamed of, the 2nd place team beat them, and les habitant gave them a serious scare based on ghosts, tradition & pure guts. I wish the Canes nothing but good, but I beleive the Devils will hand them their hats post haste!

Huet, while one save away from making it happem, is clearly our new Patrick Roy. Saku will be back with a vengance in 06/07!!! Some changes need to be made, but I will not critique ANYONE who played tonight!

I'm thrilled for the future of the greatest franchise in hockey history!!!
