I can't help thinking there is definitely something happening is this dressing room. There is a deeper issue on the team. We have good talent to compete and if so win games. I think we wouldn't be upset if everyone competed everynight. There has to be a problem, and just as BG...

RDS reports that Higgins and Komo scrapped it out during practice in Tampa. Also, the article states that Kovy and Begin had words after the Washington game. http://www.rds.ca/canadien/chroniques/194668.html Hopefully, this injects some life into the team tomorrow night.

I think there were a bunch of posters hoping to see Huet play the majority of the games after the win against Ottawa. What happened to those posters? I think one person posted that the Huet, Bonk for Garon deal might be a steal, what a joke. Funny how posters on the board post based on 1 game and not over the l...

These are not neccessarily habs related, but there have been some things I have seen lately that bother me in the NHL. So please indulge me and allow me to vent: What is it with players, every time they score, sitting on the bench and immediately looking up at the scoreboard to watch the replay of the...

Watching the Laffs/Pens game on tuesday Night - The Leafs ran into penalty trouble (what a surprise) in the third period with three players in the penalty box at once. The leafs were down two players when they took a third penalty the rule to the best of my knowledge is that the third penalty does not star...

It was nice to be received so warmly as a newcomer to this site. My wife and I grew up in Vermont and drove up to the Forum for many a game in the '70's. The closest NHL hockey for us now is San Jose and Vancouver, but thanks to satellite tv we get to see every Habs game, although it seems a bi...

It is the coaches job: 1) To make sure his team is ready for the game This year the Habs haven't been ready at the opening faceoff. Even when we were winning, we were coming from behind. 2) To manage his players minutes to avoid injuries and fatigue Julien's bench management has been suspect in m...

While walking off some Christmas turkey on the treadmill, I was watching the US juniors pound the crap out of the poor Norwegians. That poor bugger in nets (with the very Norwegian name of "Smith") deserves a medal if he finishes this one. It got me to wondering: Paul, who would you...

For those of you who would trade Ribs in a heart beat, how about Zednik? Ribs has more chance of being successfull in the new NHL than Zed! Zed has no vision and can't pass a puck! Here's an idea for those who can't stand the way the Habs are playing recently, turn the channel to the World Juniors. Team Canada is an underdog but they have a coach who makes them work on every shift and are doing very well so far. I just got home to see the Habs losing again. Thank goodness I didn't wat...

...one guy like Brad Richards...or Vincent LeCavalier...or Joe Thornton...or Doug Weight would pretty much cure about 75% of what hurts the Habs overnight! The main problem in Montreal has not changed in about 10 years...we need a top centreman. Everyone can jump all over And-o...

I know we are only in 2nd period, but I hate to say it but this is anotehr loss. The great momentum praisd by so many on the return of Kovalev is now gone. As far as Theo being out, I think Huet is just as good so thats a wash. Bonk who gives a S***. Now we get to Koivu. I am not sure his return will help so much...

Does anyone know whether the practices are run with intensity, hard skating, etc.? I get the impression (from the media) that practices are short and not too intense on account of the schedule. It seems to me that much of the team loses its legs mid-way through the game.

All this Captain talk is crazy and as a result misdirected anger! Kovy can dominate a game only if he feels up to it! That does make for some on ice inspiration but in the long run if you're looking for a player that is robust and plays most if not all games and has the heart of a lion the...
