I can't help thinking there is definitely something happening is this dressing room. There is a deeper issue on the team. We have good talent to compete and if so win games. I think we wouldn't be upset if everyone competed everynight. There has to be a problem, and just as BG banned the press from the dressing room when they were giving Brisebois a hard time I think he should do the same again. These guys need some isolation from the media and focus on winning as a team. No coach is going to cure that. No need to panic yet but we better start making a plan to make some changes. After new years is when the real hockey matters.
I said this before - why would we play Huet when the guy is going back to his homeland next season. Give the games to Danis to develop - we are no worse off plus he is someone that wants to play.

Finally someone who understands the game of hockey enough to know that team chemistry has nothing to do with coaching. It is up to the players to "get along and play nice with each other". What is Julien suppose dto do? Sit them in a corner and give them time out? They are grown men for Gods sake. If there is a cancer in that dressingroom it is up to Dr. Gainey to operate and remove it.

Is this where the Captain, injured or not is there to step up and take charge and show true leadership. Isnt there a player on each team that when he speaks the guys listen???? Where or when will Saku step up.
hey guys could i point something out to you , besides saku i dont believe there is a cancer in the dressing room , as a recent survivor of cancer i get upset when someone describes a person who is disruptive in the dressing room as a cancer . believe me the big c is more serious than some spoiled millionaires that cant get along . so with some respect to the thousands who survive and the millions who die from this diseise could we find a better way to describe this situation .

I couldn't agree more. Saku is all heart, but he needs to be in the locker room day-in/day-out. Having missed so many team trips, I wouldn't be surprised if he's a little out of the loop about the goings-on in the locker room. Also, Les Boys seem to be missing an effective second-in-command.
It's up to the coach to make sure his team is playing with intensity. For those players who don't come to the rink to play, they need to be taught a lesson.

I agree. I say sit them in the corner and give them time outs! I am curious though. If he decides to sit out Ribs for example, is Huet gonna play Center?

Thanks for saying that, as I have always felt the same. Glad you made it through, stay strong.

CJ wasn't making the tough decisions when we had a full lineup and this is why the team is where it is today. All coaches know that there comes a time to sit out certain players.
Yes John you ar etotally right as usual. It has absolutely nothing to do with the fact that the 3 injuries on the team are at the same position... Center. Tell me how Toronto would perform now with their 3 centers, including Sundin, out of the lineup at the same time?

They would cope, just like they did when Sundin was out. I kept hearing other players names when listening to sports in Toronto, Steen, Stajan, wow, other players were allowed to step up. Rookies at that.
We are missing two centers really since Koivu and Bonk are the two that started the season at center. Bonk, well we aren't missing much there. Pretty much anyone can fill in. Did you know that Bulis is a natural center as well as Higgins?
Yes we are missing a number one center right now but other teams are able to cope. Time for CJ to show that he can coach a TEAM, not just when Kovy and Sak are in the lineup.

Hi Reddog; I was wondering how you were making out with that. Very glad to see you're OK. I hope the posters will take your comments to heart!

Don't feel so bad Barry, the use of the word "cancer" to describe a contagious social issue is pretty widespread, and was around long before hockey was an idea. I almost used it myself a couple of days ago, but thought again, just in case it did offend
It may be a bit of both. Sooner or later something will give. I just hope it happens on the ice with a big win like 8 zip. We really need that Have we even scored more than 5 goals this year. I think we scored 5 only once
