Just a feeling...Bonk was a good purchase:
(Preview)
In a Carbonneau kinda way. Just a feeling with those three(carbo, gainey, Jarvis), Bonk will be given direction. I think he will prove Gainey right...

Gainey's first full practice
(Preview)
So today was Gainey's first practice and he abandoned the chalk board and concentrated on fitness and skating routines. He wants to go back to the basics and once the players can do that without thinking, then he will work on more complicated things.
Interesting, we will see some results tom...

Wow, only gone for 3 days....
(Preview)
Coach gets fired, Gainey takes over with Carbo, habs score 6 goals in 1 period and beat a pretty good San Jose team of late. Theo plays a decent game, Special teams wake up, AND....i get a shut-out my game yesterday night :D! The team to what i saw on the highlights looked great last night, REALLY motivate...

Random thoughts!
(Preview)
Why the hell was Theo the third star?? I don't think he made in the way of one big save.
How long is Souray and Zednik out?
Kyle Chipchura has been a different player since the World Juniors. I stated on this board about two weeks ago that he was a wasted draft pick.......he has rea...

I'm not looking for trouble or trying to be negative after such a strong performance but this really bothers me and I need to get it off my chest!
Go ahead and throw stones at me for it!

Thanks Guys
(Preview)
Guys and Girls- I just wanted to thank everyone here for listening to my rants and writings regarding the firing of a good frfiend yesterday. I know that perhaps it was getting a bit repititious and annoying but I needed to say alot and get it out of my system. It was good therapy. I still stand by my...

Ribs...
(Preview)
I of course am not a Ribs fan.
I am on record for saying he was not traded because his potential was greater than his trade value.
I am on record for saying he plays like a little boy who prefers dolls to trucks...
I am on record for saying that with Gainey and Carbo in charge, one of two things will happ...

Ribs!
(Preview)
Let's give credit where it's due. Ribs produced with barely any ice time! A great deflection and a better pass to Bulis! I personally hope that this is a start of good things to come especially because he can't be traded! He had the most ice in the third because he finally earned it an...

...the three players that Gainey mentioned as being underperformers all season...and the three that he intends to build this team around are...
1. Markov...2. Souray...3. Theodore

Have Spoken to Claude
(Preview)
Figaro- you arr right. It is easier to fire the coach than 3 players. What upsets me, however, is that as a habs fan, I do not feel this is the right move for our team. I know Claude will come out of this with a good job someplace where he will not have to put up with being second guessed constantly.
As...

I HONESTLY BELIEVE
(Preview)
That there was locker room issues on this team. That CJ tried to mediate the two sides. That most people within the organization new WHO the stink bomb was. And that they tried to trade him but the whole NHL had figured out he is worth very little.
SO, since he does have potential...why not see if a coach...

Gainey and Carb!
(Preview)
While they were very close personally in their playing days and quality players, it concerns me that they are a twosome in this capacity! BG will be alot more leaniant with Carb as a coach! If the shoe was on Carb's foot rather than CJ, you can bet that Gainey would of made trades already! No way doe...

Here we go again!
(Preview)
I am sad to see Julien go because I truly believe that the players are responsible for the way they play (or don't play), each and every one, from the captain on down. And I agree with posts that state, "why couldn't they do this before Julien was fired?" Also, Ribeiro is not my favour...

Bitterness
(Preview)
I understand the bitterness on the board about the firing of CJ an how it was not the right thing to do. BG had no choice but to do this. It sounds bad but our current players were not motivated or did not want to play for CJ. Time will tell whether BG and Carbs are different and the player...

Cherry blames it on Theo
(Preview)
Don Cherry was on coaches corner and said that he feels sorry for CJ. He said 3 players got the coach fired and named Theodore as the main culprit.
He also said that Carbo would have been coach alot earlier if not for the language police crap that went on when he tried to send his kids to english school.

There is much I cant say
(Preview)
There is alot I can't say and in respect to Claude, I will not. He needs to keep his reputation intact so he can find a job elsewhere. I can tell you a couple things in a very general way. There is a leadership problem on this team. He was being told who to play and who not to play. And those who feel that this has...

I am really split at this time. First and foremost, as a habs fan, I am pleased with the result and the effort. I want to see us succeed and it is nice to see us get a much needed 2 points. On the other hand, it simply nauseates and sickens me to see this sudden burst of effort. Every (and I mean each and EVERY pla...
