They were certainly firing on all cylinders tonight! Every player had a great game! Four PP goals! Two SH goals! Theo played great. Ribeiro even had a good game. Bonk had two points! Streit scored! Four points by Markov! Bulis scored again! They killed off a 5 on 3 for almost two minutes! Blocked shots everywhere! Everything was going their way. I half expected MikeKomisarek to score a goal (oh well, some things are just beyond reason). Even Youppi had a great game!
I am more than happy with this win, but why oh why could they not play their guts out like this for Monsieur Julien?!

How is Theo a third star? He had no more than 20 shots on him and barely a scoring chance!
Either way, hope it helps his confidence!
No surprise how the team reacted! They got the coach fired and now it's time to play hockey! I hope this hard work lasts a long time to get us back in the playoff race especially with this roster staying together!

I can't disagree to much on that choice. He had 25 shots at him, and the second San Jose goal went in off his own player (Higgins). Markov was the obvious first star, but you could flip a coin on the other two. The whole team played superlatively.

I was thinking the same thing, there's no way Theo should be a star of any kind for this game. 25 shots, 2 goals given up in a 6-2 win. Few of the Sharks shots would be considered difficult saves. By comparison, Huet doesn't get a star for his superb goaltending in Denver??? Very strange, but . . .
I'm not here to nitpick, it was a solid win by the entire team. I just hope they can keep up the effort each and every game for the remainder of the season. Nice to get a win to kick off the second half of the season!
Great game by the Habs, a real solid effort all the way around. Hopefully they'll string a few games with this kind of work ethic together.
In reality for a change, we simply put pucks in the net. Ithink the shots on goal were like 26-24 or something like that so the score was more flattering than the performance. Having said that, it was nice to see that the 75% of the team who have been in Cubda since November decided to rejoin us and hopefully thety stick around.

I agree the shot total doesn't equate with the final score, but remember the Habs were up 6-1 after the second, they didn't need any more goals (in fact SJ outshot Mtl 11-6 in the third period).
Yes, the shots were going in, much like the first period of the Ottawa game. But . . . the Habs didn't give many real good scoring chances up to the Sharks (still scratching my head over Theo's 3rd star) and played a solid all around game (PP/PK/ES).
We'll see how they perform on Monday, should be interesting.
