I think we all can agree that Kovy is a player that if stroked properly can produce! We all have witnessed that he can be a game breaker when he wants to and determine the outcome of a game on his own! His talent is above Saks in that regard! Saks can work his butt off but accomplish nothing in pr...

If only the entire NHL sched could be squeezed into October and November, Savage might well lead the league in points every year. Unfortunately for him, there are many months after those two when games must be played, and during those times, Savage is hard pressed to register any points. He's facetio...

I know this sounds crazy but I really like watching Richer when he was on! He could really dominate when he was in his prime and all the tools were working! Good skater and had a canon! I thought he was exciting like Kovy is now and then! Remember when he would fly down the wing and wind up wit...

We all remeber Mats Naslund. Ever since Koivu came up in the organization, I always compared him or he always reminded me of Mats. For the last time...Sakes was not overpaid! He is paid market value. It may be a high price tag but Gainey did not OVER PAY. Cripes, I know 30 teams in the NHL who would have paid him either 4.5 mil or even 5mil. So I cannot agree with the subliminal messages I hear on this board ...

This concerns me. The Olympics require that you play every shift with the highest of inensity. When the Habs get back, they can't afford to have off nights. We're in a playoff hunt. Our "so-called" key players may come back mentally drained. How does BG handle this. Days off? Have them skip some practi...

Do not be surpised that Claude Julien will sign a deal to coach a Major Junior team this week but only until the end of this season.

It's interesting to see the debate about whether the Habs over paid for Koviu or not. Obviously this debate is not unique to the Canadiens. The Leafs just resigned Kaberle to a 5 year 20 million dollar contract, and there has been criticism over that move. As Damien Cox wrote, the Leafs have won nothing...

(2006-02-11 16:14 posted by Alex Stream) Breaking news in Habsland, our diminutive captain signed for $14 250 000 over three years. It amounts to 4.75 million per season which is more than Alex Kovalev’s pay check (both contracts will end at the same time.) I can hear the cries of fury comi...

What is your opinion on the timing of the Saks signing? Did it seem strange that he would sign him right before the Olympic break? Why not wait it out longer and gain better bargaining position!
