So the Habs aren't playing until the 28th of February. What the heck do I have to look forward to over the next two plus weeks???

When they come back they play 6 straight on the road, yikes....

Yeah, this 'luge' crap is getting old REAL fast...and Olympic hockey is only going to serve as a temporary fix for me!!!

...just curious, does ANYONE actually know anyone who has ever 'luged'...or 'ski-jumped'...or 'bobsledded'???  ME NEITHER!!!  BOOOORRRRRRRRRIIIIIIIIIIINNNNNNNNNNNGGGGGG!

Seriously though...mens doubles luge!!!  How desperate is a guy for entertainment when forced to watch two grown men lay on top of each other wearing spandex???  And-o asks...is THIS sport???

...me thinks not!!!

P.S.  If half of those female X-Country skiers are not on roids...than And-o will eat his shirt!!!

Does anyone else think some of the Olympic sports are outdated and boring? I mean puhllleeeease....watching people cross country ski with an old wooden pellet gun strapped to their back, and stopping to shoot at some targets now and then just does not give me that adrenalyn rush you know? Call me crazy.

Actually, I do know former Olympic Bobsledder Chris Lori.  And I think the event is boring.

And Barry, you talk about updating some of the sports.  NASCAR has a pretty good idea to attract fans - NASCAR Budweiser Shootout.  Cars, alcohol, and guns.  Now that is fun just waitning to happen.  (Please do not think that I enjoy NASCAR/Winston Cup/CASCAR or anything of the sort)  Oh yeah, you're crazy.

I sometimes wonder if Americans sit around drinking beer, smoking cigars and shooting their guns (in deep, deep south) and call the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco and Firearms to thank them for the idea.  I, too, would like to extend my apologies to davidb, brooklynhabsfan, et al, for my generalizing and uninformed remarks.

I don't think that it's going to be a coincidence when I become super productive at work for the next two weeks.

Seriously though, just when the Habs were picking up some steam...

We haven't seen them play like this since October - Mid November. Isn't anyone looking forward to seeing how are Habs perform at the Olympic?

For sure Jean but once the quarterfinals, Semifinals, and Finals come around next week, it will definately be interesting. Let's hope they come back with no injuries or mental fatigue.

The Gold is nice and all....but the Habs beatin the Leafs to the playoffs, beers at Baton Rouge  and popcorn and crappy draft at the Bell Center is what MY game consists of.

Huet's gonna take us an extra mile this season, Key. I'm feelin' confident.

(that crappy draft is like $8.50 each!)

I've put the goaltending situation to rest right now. It's simple, our goal is to make the playoffs. Stick with Huet and if he has an off-night, go with Theo. Look at the other teams in the league. The 2 goalie system or the unknown goaltenders seems to be working surprisingly well for many top teams.

I am so dissapointed in Jose Theodore's performance. I recognize what the hockey media have been doing to him through all of the stuff he's been going through, but if Wayne Gretzky can coach over in Italy through a HUGE scandal that will go down in hockey history, well, Theodore, get yer sh*t together and play net like you did when you were in Hull.

Anyway, I'm ranting. Did I mention the price of the draft?

HUUUU-AYYY, HUUUU-AYYY!!!

Well Canada's men's Olympic Hockey team for one thing to look forward to.  Canada plays Italy on Wednesday to kick off defending their Gold medal title.   Hmm I wonder who my dad will cheer for:   Italy, his homeland, or Canada, his home for the last 45 years.
