Well guys and gals, I am off to Panama City for work (2 1/2 weeks), tomorrow afternoon. I will be checking gohabs as often as possible to get the latest news, etc... Hopefully by the time I get back we will be in a better spot to make the playoffs. Keep the faith, we can do it.

Switch Ribs and Koivu?

Interested to read your answers to the following:
Should BG put Ribs with Ryder and Higgins / Koivu back with Perez and Kovy? or Is there another offensive line change you would try? -- Edited by Key Lime at 18:02, 2006-03-01

Koivu ban lifted
(Preview)
Ok, let's face it. Hate him or love him, he played tonight and set helped his team with 3 assists. And not a peep. Not even an "I told you so!" What gives? The regualr Koivu bashers have nothing to say and the Pro-Koivu have nothing to say. I think we all gave up Koiv...

Concerns
(Preview)
Fist of all I am thankful for the win last night. 2 points are two points and we need them badly. But being habs fans, we need to anylize things and see where we are heading. At the risk of sounding ungrateful, we are still in very deep trouble as a team. Let us examine last night's game for instance. One agai...

Ribs Should Hide His Face in the Sand
(Preview)
What a scenario for Ribs...A few days after he bashes Saks for his leadership the following occured:
Saks is present at game time. Although he did seem fatigued, helped his team to victory with 3 assists.
Ribs had no shots on net the entire game, goals, assists, -1, and had about the same ice-tim...

Huet for MVP?
(Preview)
Barry brings up good points about Huet. Without him, we don't see the playoffs. How many games has he saved our hides and kept us from free falling while Theo was being the "Gainey Project"? Now he's hot and on a roll. This is a team that continues to be out shot every game.
The players love...

Higgins - New York Native
(Preview)
Christopher Higgins, an New York State native, should play more often against New York teams. In five games against NY teams, he's scored 4 goals. It helps when your friends and family is in the crowd. Supposedly, last night he has around 60 family and friends at the arena. Now that will motivate you!

What I love about this place.
(Preview)
With all the negativity going on between posters over the past little while, I figured I'd try to shed a little light. One of the things I love about coming here to gohabs.com is it gives me a chance not only to learn more about our beloved habs, but about the game of hockey as well. Growing up, my father was...

Question for rules hounds
(Preview)
I saw the game highlights this morning. In the first period there was a play where Huet went behind the net to get the puck, missed it, and it hit the referee's skate and bounced right to an Islander who almost had an empty net to shoot for, forcing Huet to hustle back and make a great save (two saves, actual...

NO WAY will Saku sit tonight!!!
(Preview)
Surely he has discovered in his tenure as Captain of the Montreal Canadiens that such a foolish request simply won't be tolerated!
And-o believes 100% that Saku will dress.
...if not, he will have some kinda fun dealing with the media for weeks to come (as it should be)...

Another prediction.
(Preview)
I'm going to be bold again and say that Zed will turn it around. He'll be key down the stretch.
I hope I'm right because my thinking is Gainey won't make a trade.
Now, saying that, I hope I'm wrong about the second statement.

Saks???
(Preview)
I'm having a hard time figuring this guy out this season. It seems when he gets ample ice, works hard, fights for the puck etc., he's ineffective in production. Tonight he's tired, less ice time and effort but three assists.
If the guy keeps it simple, plays smart and stays within his li...

If we play...
(Preview)
If we play like tonight, no way we beat Luongo and his troops. I'm not trying to put a negative spin on tonight but if not for Huet and poor goaltending on the other side from Snow, we lose.
For those that think Huet's second goal against was weak, you have to give Satan credit, it was a great...

Poll about goalie
(Preview)
80% say we shouldn't trade for another goalie. I agree, we're OK and Huet is a big guy, I don't think he'll get too tired. He plays his angles correct and doesn't burn the energy that Theo tends to because he's smaller and has to cover more net.
