Strictly stats-related question:  Was Koivu ultimately credited with the first Finnish goal in the Gold-medal game?  CBC gave it to him, but I saw Timonen (I think that's his name) credited with it in the paper yesterday.


Anyone know for sure?

Hey Nil!


I believe that Timonen was credited, and they flip-flopped to crediting Koivu due to it appearing to go in off of Saku's stick.  Then....they flip-flopped back to crediting Timonen again a short while later.  So, the goal wasn't Koivu's.
