Reviewing the 'Dogs - Marlies game of 12/18/05:
Play of the Game:
Duck!! The Marlies were leading 2-1 early in the second period when Jay Harrison fired a wrist shot at the Hamilton net from the top of the right faceoff circle. Bulldogs goaltender Yann Danis, who was on his knees, appeared to duck a...

Thought I would save certain individuals the bother of starting a new topic today. Lost last night in overtime and it is obvious julien needs to go. Gainey needs to get "his man" in there (whomever that may be...hoping Scotty Bowman comes out of retirement.

No big surprise. Too bad, I would have liked to have used this healing time to ease the grandads back in and let the little 'uns roam a bit

Game review from other board
(Preview)
It was a good news / bad news game against the Wild in Minnesota when the Canadiens lost 4-3 in overtime. The good news was that, with Koivu back in the lineup, every other player put in twice the effort. The bad news, besides the loss, was that Plekanec hurt his knee early and didn't return, and Koivu, aft...

All is not lost
(Preview)
Yes it was another loss but some good things can be seen after tonights game.
1) Huet seems to be a respectable BACKUP and that's what he was obtained for.
2) Murray looked good as a replacement to Begin, he had some spark and was hitting and even killing penalties.
3) Bulis played a g...

Kovy will play Tuesday
(Preview)
RDS reports that Kovy will play Tuesday. Kostitsan (sp?) has been sent down. We will know more about Pleks and Theo's injuries on Monday after they visit the doctor. I see no need to rush Theo back to the lineup. The way he is playing currently, there is no difference between him and Huet. Let him take Tue...

Theodore - healthy or not?
(Preview)
Was Theodore the backup goalie last night?
The real question is: was he merely rested to give Huet some ice time, or is he injured?
Anyone know the answer for sure?

They need to call a penalty
(Preview)
Again last night ,as I watched the Ottawa game, again and again Hasek goes down and lets go of his stick. Last night the puck hit the stick. It did not cause the puck to stay out of the net, but I for one am sick and tired of seeing him drop the stick. That use to be a call years ago. Thay should star...

Perspective
(Preview)
I guess this goes with my all is not lost post but for some reason I am not overly worried about the Habs right now. I mean it really frustrates me after a loss but even with the really bad way we've been playing over the last 15 games we are still in 7th place. Did anyone really think we would be vying for #1 ove...

Compare the Leafs to the Habs
(Preview)
At times I feel that we have an unrealistic and biased view of the talent we have on this team. Since we are all probably the most familiar with the Laffs roster, I would like us to compare what we have compared to them.
Goal- Edge to Toronto- Belfour has outplayed Theo in all head to head meet...

4 to 3 and 3 to 2
(Preview)
Sounds like an old Chicago hit (Twenty five or Six to Four)....................... but out of curiosity, I checked the Habs' game scores so far. Of 30 games, 11 have ended up 3-2 and 9 went 4-3 (counting the empty netter 5-3 game against Edmonton). That's 2/3 of the games with those two sc...

Olympics - the scourge of the Habs?

(Preview)
Judging from our performance without him in the lineup - we need to keep him. Koivu is one of my favourite habs. Pay this guy and lock him up for 2-3 years. Let the other bums go and sign some good free agents.
I hope Koivu decides to stay as well - I have a feeling he won't though...

Sid the "A" Kid

I was watching the Pens/Swords game last night, and noticed that Sidney Crosby was sporting a new"A" on his sweater. I know I said a few weeks ago that he was Captain material, but I truly didn't expect him to get an "A" at 18 years old and merely 30 games into his NHL career!
(And yes, I k...
