The link to his stats - I say that in the shape we're in now, I'd take him.  If in 3-4 games he's adding nothing, put him back on waivers.  Seems he would be an upgrade on Streit, perhaps.

Well, if Gainey's been ontop of the Waivers list like he's said to be, then he should have no problem grabbing him.

I have liked this guy for a long time, but do we have the financial room and can he keep up with the new NHL?

Plus he gets traded a lot, which would also make me wonder if we wouldn't be getting a defensive version of Radek Bonk.  Still, if he replaced the likes of Mark Streit (or even Mike Komisarek), really what have we lost?

About $10 bucks, 5 dollars in cash, and 5 dollars worth of hamburger meat,

Komisarek?

What? No way, just when Komisarek is starting to play well...hey, his mother just died!

I happen to think that if Montreal is going to replace a defenseman, it has to be with a top-o-the-line one. Montreal has 6 guys who are as good or better than McGillis. McGillis has been a disappointment wherever he goes. Think Malakhov, for a comparison.

I figured the mention of Komisarek would stir the pot a bit.  Yes, he's had other things on his mind, but to my mind he has played awful this year; he was better two years ago.  But he's young and I'll cut him some slack.

They should grab this guy before he's scooped up by Nashville or Columbus...
