BOO-YON
(Preview)
Maybe I'm a fuddy-duddy, but is anyone else tired of hearing Francis Bouillon's name mis-pronounced? The TSN boobs call him "Boo-lee-on", and I heard it as "Boo-lon" somewhere once. The English CBC pronounces it "Boo-yawn". That's closer, but still not quite right.&n...

With all the opportunities to moan - why not enjoy this while you can?
(Preview)
Who cares if the win was this, that or the other. Who cares if we we're "lucky"? It's about time we got a break. The last 10 years have been filled with stinkin' ugly luck, and I still love this team and cheer for it, no matter what kind of weak coffee is brewed on the ice.
With that in mind, and I'm in no way...

Who do you like?
(Preview)
We all have been critical of players but my question is who do you like this season? Who has been the most solid player on a consistant bases?
I'm thinking Markov because defense is a tough position in todays NHL and he has done it all! May not be perfect every game but has had few bad...

Chipchura likely to be traded ...
(Preview)
............not from the the Habs , from the Prince Albert Raiders who have only won 10 of 40 games played ......he won't be back with the Raiders next year so he'll likey be moved for future considerations as the Raiders are going nowhere this year .....I wouldn't be surprised to see him end up with Bre...

Try a Little LaTendresse?
(Preview)
Watching the Gold medal junior game (4-0 for the good guys so far ), and I note that Guillaume LaTendresse is listed as a forward, but I have yet to see him on the ice. Why is he not playing? I thought he was out of the doghouse, but maybe not.
Canada is looking good, and got a freebie w...

Ever notice....
(Preview)
Ever notice that sometimes you post something of what you think is quality and get no responses while other times with a less significant post, you get many responses?
Strange!
Kind of like the Habs. You don't know how they'll respond!

Preds could use a shifty centreman and a talented young winger...
(Preview)
...and they have LOADS of stuff that would look great in a Habs jersey!
Imagine placing the likes of Jordin Tootoo and or Scottie Upshall in Montreal!?!?! Or, just think of what a budding young power forward like Scott Hartnell could bring to the Habs roster!
Obviously it would take more th...

Ok now its Colorado
(Preview)
Lets enjoy the win yesterday, and now move on to Colorado. I feel if we can play like we did yesterday and also get Kovy and everyone else playing full throttle, I think we will be ok. We still need work on PP. I would keep starting Huet until he loses a game.

OTT vs MTL Jan 7, 2006 - Hockey Day In Canada 2PM EST Game Thread
(
1 2
)
(Preview)
Intial reports are that Huet will face OTT again - makes sense if you think about it. Ribs on line one with Kovy and Kast. Think CJ is trying to avoid a KKK line? Anyway, I think Ribs away from Ryder will help more than Koivu on the first line. Makes 2 solid 2nd lines and OTT should...

Claude Julien Office Print
(Preview)
Hey guys, Just curious if anyone happened to catch the pre-game show on RDS yesterday prior to the habs / sens game. They ran an interview with Claude that appeared to take place in his office. In the background there was an incredible framed photo of the team lining up for the anthems at the Bell Centre,...

Who are we praying to? I forget your "Sister's" name,
Maybe we should add "Bonar Bain" to the mix? I swear to God I'm not making this up. Conrad Bain, "Mr. Drummond" from "Diff'rent Strokes" and his twin 'Bonar" were big junior hockey and speed skating stars in the 30s!!!
I'm picturing a Thor type th...

Huet
(Preview)
I like Huet! He may not be flashy and fast but he is calm and covers alot of net! Even if he stays down after a save, that's OK because sometimes Theo is beat because he scrambles too much after a first save! Notice that Huet covers alot of net when he is stretched out in his butterfly! He is solid on lon...

After a performance like the one "Crystal Ball Who-eh" just put down...and with Radek Bonk finally playing with an ounce of confidence, And-o hopes that the Matty Garon updates might soon fall into the "who cares" category!

Julien, the problem???

I read a poll the website had on what should the habs do to get out of their slump..... a) make a trade b) fire Julien c) bench Theodore
Now, i think this is a no brainer, we need a and c. C more then anything, but i still think a quarterback D man is a must. Julien is a great coach, thats my...

Why was Ryder underutilized?
(Preview)
I was looking at the game stats, and noticed that Michael Ryder only had 16 shifts and a total of just over 11 minutes of ice time.
Anyone know why this is so? Is he injured? In the doghouse for some reason?
