Did you all take notice..
(Preview)
Did you all take notice that Flames have alot of depth! Iginla can do it all...shoot, hit, fight, pass and skate with talent to spare! All the other forwards work just as hard and some also have good skill! How about Yelle...best defensive forward the game has to offer!
Their defense is...

fixing habs
(Preview)
It would appear again based on last night's pathetic effort, the Canadiens are in rebuilding mode....again, as they are on the verge of not making the playoffs for the fifth time in the past seven seasons.
So what is Bob Gainey to do? Start trading players who are peerfor...

Streit
(Preview)
I for one posted many times that Gainey isn't a perfect GM and maKes mistakes but if we compare Hainsey and Streit, I think Striet is working out OK! In saying that though I still don't agree that Gainey should of gambled and called him up to lose him on the waiver and pay half his wage still! He shoul...

The Newness Has Worn off the "New Car"
(Preview)
Well I will admit one thing. The newness wore off alot faster than I thought it would. The "newness" I refer to is the renewed vigor shown for 2 whole games when Carbo and CG took over. It is now painfully apparent that it was nothing more than an andrenelyn rush fueled by fear of losing your job, and maybe a...

CJ must be smiling right now
(Preview)
Like alot of us on this board said the problem is not with the coach but with the locker room. I have heard comments from Theo in the media stating "If they want to trade me go ahead". That is a sign of a ego the size of a football field. Theo has no desire to play well at all and we have to pla...

Habs showing true colours
(Preview)
Well, the first period against the 'nucks has shown how troubled the habs are.
No other team in the league has embarrassed themselves the way the habs have in this game.
Time for the habs to deal .... I'd start with Koivu, he is not leading by example (except perhaps a bad example)

Oh my god 6-zip this is the worst period I can remember. They are standing around doing nothing Come on Saku stand up in the d room and get these guys going. This game will be 12 zip at this rate. 11-1 in shots. maybe Gainey should forfiet the rest of the game. Both goalies are now dejected without and confid...

If that game were like Canadian Politics...........
(Preview)
........................ the goals would be votes and periods would be electoral ridings.
We'd have lost the poplar vote 6-2 but won the game (election) 2-1.

(Preview)
I might be a bit more verbose than davidb was in his 1000th (and possibly less than barry33 will be in his 1000th coming up soon!), but here goes:
First, a call for civility. I had the great pleasure this past week of meeting John Bragg, a Canadian Business Hall of Famer and owner of Oxford Frozen...

I know you're all tired of me saying this especially my friend Johab but I still prefer Huet to Theo this season! Sure we probably would of lost this game with Huet starting but at least he is more forgivable(doesn't earn big bucks)!
I'm tired of the last ten seasons of peewee goal...

What the hell is going on here, where is the team who competed with Ottawa 2 weeks ago, i mean, the defence is just horrible. I can't believe i'm still watching this.....6-0 still in the first, and here i was laughing at the leafs and the let 7 in, but 60 minutes at that...good night. Anyone k...

players won't play for Theo?
(Preview)
I recall after Theo's MVP year, I think Don Cherry saying that the players dont' want to play for theo because of his attitude. Could this be the problem this year? First period against the canucks, nobody was skating or even moving, just letting vancouver take pot shots at Theo. Second period looks be...

Anyone watching the Sens-Leafs game...
(Preview)
Just noting something that has been addressed here many time but is just killing me right now. Bob Cole and Harry Neal live in a different world then the rest of us. The Sens are currently embarrassing the Laffs and even that FACT can't make them make a single comment about how good the Sens look.
They b...

Players in tough with BG
(Preview)
Now that BG is behind the bench, he will be in the best position to review the talent of the individuals and the team as a whole (which includes leadership and how they behave in the dressing room) and make the changes as he sees fit. So basically the players will be under the microscope till the end...

playoff chances
(Preview)
At this point in time, based on the standings and the performances of the teams ahead of the Habs, it would appear at best the team could hope for is a 7th or 8th seeding. New Jersey seems to have put things together, and Atlanta which has always had great offense now seems to be getting better than adequat...

Comments Team 990 about Saku
(Preview)
On the way home from work today I was listening to the team 990 and they had Pat Hickey and Bill Beacon along with Mitch Melnick on the Blue Line. They talk about the Habs, Pat and Bill are sports writers incase you didn't know.
Bill basically stated that he thinks that BG will try to resign him unless Sak...
