When you say its pretty bad just remember that you did write the list. I am not sure if those guys have made a bigger impact then say Koivu or Ryder (scoring leaders) or Begin who has played some amazing games and was a big part of the run at the start or maybe a guy like Rivet, if you are looking for a defenceman, who has had to hold together a shaky and injured defence. I think that all your guys have had moments of being surprisingly great. The Bulis of the past few games has been FLYING... Higgins has earned all the ice time he gets and "The Cube" has thrown some huge hits this season, but I don't know if I would call  them the 3 stars of the year. But hey its your list so calls em like ya sees em.

3: Ryder - goal scoring leader with bad linemates. Plus, he's great with the kids. Although he's had a little trouble lately, I still think he's on his way up.
2: Rivet - Maybe I just like him or maybe he's been a solid and quiet leader all year. Can't think of much bad to say.
1: Markov - Wheels may turn without all their spokes but lose the axel and you're done. Centrepiece of the Habs future? Maybe...maybe.

If Koivu'd been around all year, he'd be there. But let's keep this thread on topic. Top 3

Fig. Ya I debated Koivu just based on injuries. But he is the leading point man and is WAY better than Ryder defensively. I based my choices on if the player had not played a game all year...how many wins would we have?

I suppose Ryder over Bouillion would make sense, but I really like that Bouillion guy...he NAILS people and is solid. He gets no respect. But ya, probably Ryder over him if you figure the how many wins question...

Can't argue with those picks, Muller.  Honorable mention to Rivet, Begin and Ryder.

Your roots are showing, Newf!  I love Ryder; currently my favourite Hab.

I think we might have to go with the top 6. Koivu, Begin, Ryder, Rivet, Boillon and Markov. Now, that leaves us a great base to build on, eh?

I really dont get how you guys dont see that Kovalev has been our best player all season.  He is a bit slow now, as he did just come back from knee surgery, but my god, he is our #1 if you can even say we have had one.

In my opinion, Kovalev has been our #1 player in about a quarter of the games this year.  He either shines or doesn't show up.  That's the problem with most of the guys.

#1a Koivu

#1b Markov

#2 Begin

#3 Ryder

If Ribs +/- was better he would have to be considered (he doesn't make much $). Kovy would be considered #5 on my list for the $ he's making.
