Bob Gainey is wayyy too stubborn!
(Preview)
Honestly, Bob Gainey needs to not be such a pigheaded mule!!! It is a miracle that the Habs escaped with the win last night.
And-o found himself pleading to Bob (by yelling at the TV) last night to yank Abby after the 3rd goal...then again after the 2nd period...then again after the 4th g...

...are sometimes not the best thing. The weather is getting nicer, the team is away from each other not being in a hotel together, etc. etc. Hopefully each player realizes the importance of each and everyone of these games.

Keys to beating the Leafs
1. Stay out of the box, 5 on 5 they are terrible. They can only score on the PP.
(MTL showed discipline both games)
2. Get traffic in front of Tellqvist, he has difficulty when there is traffic aro...

Taken from another board about Koivu's struggles this season
(Preview)
Everyone is up in arms about Saku Koivu's struggles to score goals. Yes, he is on a 22-game goalless drought, the longest of his career. But are things as bad as they seem with him? Has his play tailed off as much as many fans and media alike say? Not at all. Here are some n...

Tonights game can be very easy or very hard
(Preview)
It will be up to the canadiens to decide how they will play tonight. This game against the Isles can either be really easy or really hard. Easy if- The canadiens come out with intensity and physical against the Isles, making sure Huet sees the puck and containing the Isles speed. If thats the case, we win...

It is all about confidence...and Gainey/Carbo are going to reap some big juicy rewards soon for steadily building Radek's confidence back-up with loads of play during critical stretches at both ends of the ice!

Horrible crash

Sad day for the Dana family!
Paul Dana crashed his car into Carpenter who had rebounded off the wall after his crash and was T-boned. Dana hit him at 200 mph.
This was during warm up laps.
Sounds like Dana is actually a journalist who has only been racing a year or...

For Barry, on the old Julien and Koivu topics
(Preview)
Barry,
You think Julien may have been fired prematurely (or let's say, that the players gave up on him prematurely, or that management did)...I kind of agree with you, in retrospect, especially when you point out that some (or a lot) of his decisions were forced by Gainey himself. Also, I can't st...

Ribs listed at 6' and 176 lbs. That must be soaking wet.
Anyone know how heavy Gretz was? I'm not comparing the two in talent of course, just curious.
Also for curiosity sake, Saks is 5'10'' and 181 lbs. -- Edited by AB Habman at 19:34, 2006-03-26

Ryder - eating crow thread
(Preview)
There has been a ton of Ryder-bashing over the last month.
Much of it was well-deserved.
Nonetheless, 4 goals in 6 games is a good retort.
This is the thread where those who bashed Ryder incessantly can place their humble praise.
Starting with me.

Hows that for a sign if he plays on Thursday!?
The guy has practically killed any chance of me EVER liking him. 3 games, three 5 goals allowed in each. I DO NOT credit him this win in ANY way. In fact it should be credited to the players who scored 6 goals to get that W. Im sorry, but even a hungo...
