Nil, are bonuses still allowed under the new CBA? I was lead to beleive that bonuses are not allowed any longer. Could it be signing bonuses are not alllowed and performance bonuses are?

Bonuses are allowed, but they count against your cap. In the NFL for instance, players are occassionally payed more in a signing bonus, than their actual salary. The NHLPA/NHL CBA doesn't allow for that.
