Note to Mario re: IT malfunction
(Preview)
When I click on the Stats/Hockey DB link on the front page, it doesn't go to the site. I get this message:
"Fatal error: Unable to open /usr/www/users/slater/ihdb/stats/teamseasons.php3 in - on line No input file specified. "
Is it just me, or should this be fixed for everyone?

How idiotic is Gretzky and Company looking for NOT taking Syd the kid to the Olympics last year?!?? Granted, I do not think he would have made enough difference to put the team over the top, but his performance in the World Championships now is nothing short of sensational. He is dominating each and eve...

Do We/Did We UNDERESTIMATE The Habs?
(Preview)
After reading the article on RDS' web-site, I must admit that I am suprised.
The Gm of the Canes, Jim Rutherford, stated that the Habs are the best team of the 6 teams eliminated thus far in the East. He says that he does not want to disrespect Ottawa, NJ, or Philly but he thinks Montreal could of g...

sign a ufa dman!

The list of quality free agent centers with offensive capabilities is very slim. Arnott, Savard and not much else. Pursuing a quality defenceman with offensive abilites looks to be a batter bet. There is approximately 15 to 20 quality defencemen that will be ufa's after this season, from the top tei...

PLEKANEC

Did any of you catch the game today between Canada and Czech? After seeing Plekanec play today, it reassures me that he will, no doubt, be a top 2nd center for several years in the NHL. I know that the talent level isn't like other international tournaments but for him to be a s...

Coaching

Listening to the Team 990 yesterday and they were talking about the influence that the media has on hiring coaches. They wondered whether the organization should "look outside" to hire thei rcoaches and hire an experienced coach. The talk is that Kirk Muller may be the new assistant. So now we will ha...

So far not impressive in the playoffs.
Breezer has 1 assist and is -4.
Theo's SV% .901 and GAA 3.04
Let's just say it's not these two guys who got the Avs through in the first round.

Although there will be roster changes to the Habs lineup by training camp, it will be interesting to see if Carbo's coaching philosophy will be different from what we saw last year.
