Yeah...I agree with what MC Girl said except I'll add this to it....We need another Steve Begin type player that has the hands of Alexander Ovechkin....

Newf I can't agree more. I know Smyth has lost a step, and he was never big in the skills department. But that guy has so much grit and heart. Think of him on a line with (name that centre) and Kovalev. And then Higgins, Ryder, Koivu on the other line.

How bout just Ovechkin...period!

Its scarey thinking how bloody close we came to getting crosby!!! AAAAHHHHH With a year under his belt, i think we all know this kid has a GREAT future ahead of him...as does Ovechkin!

....imagine...a stanley cup final against these two players. Of course one would have to move to the west...

I'm all for the Ovechkin idea but the only problem is that I highly doubt that the Caps would part with him unless we offered about half of our team.........

I think what the Habs really need is to win a Cup again. When was the last time they went more than 10 years without winning one? Yeah, I see Ryan Smyth in a Habs uni holding the Cup...
