This was supposed to be the Phil Kessel draft but, according to the final rankings, the guy has fallen back to the 5th ranked NA born skater (s'yeah right!!!).  And-o will be astounded if this guy is not taken in the top 3-to-5 picks overall...and possibly still number one!!! (No way will Bob get a chance to call out his name at the draft)

Jordan Staal (drool...slobber...drool) is presently ranked number 2 overall.  You can watch this kid perform in the Memorial Cup for Peterborough this coming weekend. (Bob would have a better chance of winning the 6/49 AND getting struck by lightening than of drafting this kid next month)

Also, Peter Mueller rose steadily all season in the rankings and is something like 8th overall in terms of NA born skaters.  This kid could quite conceivably be available in the 12th-15th range.  (And-o would pretty much have a big coronary watching Bob walk to the podium if this guy was available in the first round.  Think Mike Modano...THAT is Mueller!)

...as for European born prospects, And-o is really unfamiliar with most names...and...well....And-o will just come right out and say it....TOTALLY UNINTERESTED!!! 

This might sound like Donald S. Cherry...but And-o is all for drafting from this side of the pond until we beef up BIGTIME!!!

Keep in mind the following two facts; 

1) NO NON-NORTH AMERICAN captain has lead his team to a Cup - EVER!!! 

2) ONLY ONE NON-NORTH AMERICAN player has ever won the Conn Smythe!!!
