(Preview)
The Habs aren't shooting enough, when a goalie comes off the bench to play you want to get shots at him quick, good shots because hes not wormed up yet, you don't need to be fancy. Especailly because its a rookie goalie, if he makes a few saves he'll gain confidence and play well the whole game, kind...

I think there is one major roster tweak that seems obvious…
(Preview)
Since Zed is still out…Dagenais just can’t keep up…and Ivanans is pretty much unnecessary most nights, why not put Perezhogin on the top line…place Pleks on line number two…and play Dandenault as a winger while dressing Komisarek in his place on defense?!?!?
I think that this would enab...

Game notes from another board
(Preview)
Theodore: Dearie me, The-open-door struggled at times tonight. He wasn't bad, by any stretch, but nor was he stellar like he was last season. This is a very ordinary goaltender at this point. He blew the first goal completely, and the next one was arguable as well. Those are the saves that kept us alive...

The refs won this one
(Preview)
I could only listen on the radio, but it sounded like the refs won this one for Ottawa. I did not have the benefit of seeing the goals Theo let up so I cannot comment on them.

Where do we go from here???
(Preview)
I know it is early and there was no one more pumped as I was when they won the first three games. I know the first three could have gone either way. We play Atlanta tomorrow, The Leafs and Bruins over the next week. We are only 4 games into the season, so lets not panic yet but the first loss is always har...

What does Gainey see in.....
(Preview)
What does Gainey see in Streit over Hainsey? Personally Streit bored me! Komi should of been in this game! Was he a healthy scratch?

Just got back from the Bell Centre
(Preview)
Just got back. Where do I begin. let's see. pre-game ceremonies were weak. In fact, part of the pre-game ceremonies had to be called off when the white sheets suspended from the rafters fell to the ice and the projcted images could not be deployed.
The game i...

Too easy to blame refs/rules/individuals for that loss...
(Preview)
...but I think we should suck this one up!
Ottawa is damn good...and the Habs hung in well. Next time a few calls will go our way!
The rules are the rules...and they have benefited us well so far (despite tonight).
...lets see how the guys rebound tonight!
(Theo played OK...the rules all...

Theodore - The new Felix Potvin?
(Preview)
I know it's still early days, but I say get the value while you can for him, get a solid guy to fill the gap (There's a ton of guys with consistency who don't cost half as much), and beef up the D with the change.
Otherwise, you're going to just keep on hearing the same song, year after year after year

(Preview)
Koivu good! Kovolev good! Begin damn good. Theo...not so good (althought one goal he was screened and another he was interfered with).Boullion good, Streit good (nice hard acurate shot) Ribs and Souray bad! Overall I like our team. I think they will be fun to watch all yea...

New Rules
(Preview)
I am a fan of the new rules and especially of the enforcement of the old ones, but the one rule that isn't be called enough is goalie interference and I am sick of seeing players dance inside the blue paint. I have had an issue with this for years and now that the D can't cross check it is only getting wo...

Game Notes
(Preview)
Theo And Kovy,
Don't get me wrong both are very talented players but there is no way there worth the money. Kovalev is making 4.5 mill to do squat, he was good when he assited the koivu goal but otherwise just dismal. on the powerplay he elected to take a slap shot from a terrible angle, and he missed the n...

THE GOOD/BAD/UGLY
(Preview)
The good: koivu(nice goal, always a threat), Markov(solid again), Bouillion( solid again), Begin (love this guy). I also liked plekanac tonight--what about him as our second line center?
The bad: Theodore(looking very average to me), Souray( Sometimes just stands around), Kovelev( o...

Wow!!
(Preview)
Alfredsson was a Hab killer. Koivu played good but it always seems like Their Captain plays better and makes more of a difference.
Ribiero was weak on the puck all evening. This guy needs to be on fourth line for awhile and Plekanic in his place.
Habs match up well up front but th...

Theo and second line
(Preview)
Well Theo has played another poor game so far, screened, blah, blah, blah. $5+ million boys, 4 games and Theo has been a no show so far. He's being outplayed by a rookie...
As for the second line, they have been invisible tonight. There's only so long Higgins can play on that line, he's still a kid. We de...

After one
(Preview)
Good period overall. First goal against was a little weak but we'll say that Theo couldn't see the shot, after that one he was solid. Koivu, Kovy, Periz look good. Ribs can't win a faceoff for his life. Nice to see Begin stick up for his team members at the end of the period. A couple of checks against Higgi...
