Since Zed is still out…Dagenais just can’t keep up…and Ivanans is pretty much unnecessary most nights, why not put Perezhogin on the top line…place Pleks on line number two…and play Dandenault as a winger while dressing Komisarek in his place on defense?!?!?

I think that this would enable Julien to play all lines!

Or…since Ribs seems to ignite when Dags size rides with him…why not bump Pleks off line #2 and try the size and speed of Dandenault beside Ribs?!?!?  That way…we have a bigger body that can skate and shoot (Dandy) versus a bigger body that can only shoot (Dags)…or a smaller skill guy best suited to the centre slot (Pleks).

And-o figures that if Mathieu Dandenault is skilled enough to regularly play wing for Scotty Bowman in Detroit…why can’t he be given a chance to do so in Montreal?!?!?!?!?!

And-o also sees the day rapidly approaching where BG stops shuffling centres around in rolls they are not ideally suited for.  In fact, I worry about how many Hab centres get permanently converted to wingers (eg.  Bulis, Higgins, Begin, Pleks).

Fully agree And-o.  I've been saying the same thing since they picked up Dandenault, as he is a natural winger and still struggles down low on D.  He is also a right-handed shot and we only have one forward, Ryder, that is a righty.

Does And-0 see a day when he does't referr to himself in the first person?(just kidding)

I think Gainey made it clear he got Dandy to play D....And McHab agrees!

And O How come they get paid the big bucks to think of this stuff, and you will do it for free

Dandy needs to stay on D.  His speed is ideal there with the new rules.  Give him time to adjust to those rules and to his new defence partner and he'll be just fine.

Don't get me wrong.  I like Dandenault, but I like the idea of him as a forward because A) It is his natural position  B)We need some physicality up front  C) We need another righty forward  D) It would give us an extra D in the line-up which is never a bad thing  E) It would allow us to use all our current D, as well as bring up Hainsey as an extra, although that would be mean dumping a forward like Dagenais... although I can't see that as a bad thing.
