Good period overall. First goal against was a little weak but we'll say that Theo couldn't see the shot, after that one he was solid. Koivu, Kovy, Periz look good. Ribs can't win a faceoff for his life. Nice to see Begin stick up for his team members at the end of the period. A couple of checks against Higgins and Pleks that need some retribution. That's about it so far.

the kovalev penalty for running hte goalie was crap, looked to be pushed into him. same with higgins penalty, pretty weak.


a couple of calls for hooking/tripping could have been called on the sens if a penalties like those were called against montreal. especially one on bulis in the ottawa end.
