Kovalev: The good and bad (from other board)
(Preview)
Big blow for Habs fans throughout the world: superstar Alex Kovalev will undergo knee surgery in Pittsburgh this Tuesday.
The bad Kovalev is said to have to miss 3-4 weeks. Kovalev has been huge for the Habs this year, collecting 19 points in 18 games while averaging more than 20 minutes per game. Co...

time to evaluate
(Preview)
Two years ago we made the playoffs without Kovalev. We have a built a good start - lets just hold the fort till Kovalev gets back. We have a team that is good and has its moments - we have to rely on our strong points
Theo - has to step it up
Ryder - continue to be a goal scorer
Ribiero - step i...

Our PP will improve!
(Preview)
With Kovy out, expect the Habs to simplify the PP! Shoot from the point and crowd the net for a rebound. The fancy stick handling and peripheral passes weren't effective. What our PP needed was different personal and hopefully Kovy's absence will force CJ's hand to change things up with differ...

My thoughts on a few previous posts
(Preview)
Firstly for those that are bashing Theo. When he is on, he lets in a soft goal per game! Maybe he is back to form now! Big news: In the past seasons there was only 5 to 10 game stretches where he was sharp and didn't go down early otherwise this is the norm. So if he gets sharp with hi...

Were the guys in the booth last night wearing Leaf's cheerleader outfits? Never heard such biased national coverage of a game, like something you'd hear from a Florida guy trying to whip up the home audience (all 5 of them)
Who was the guy doing the colour commentary? So obnoxious, practically go...

My wounds are starting to heal from that loss last night.

Belfour vs. Theo
(Preview)
I disagree. I don't think theo was outplayed at all. Yes, Eddie made a number of saves i the first period, but they were all pretty straight forward saves. I put the Canadiens not scoring down to poor finishing more than good goaltending. Let's face it guys, if theo had let in any of those you'd be all over...

The Habs just keep finding ways to lose to the Leafs!
(Preview)
So many missed opportunities!
The Habs had better start burying their chances!
Begin, Bonk, Bulis could easily have 10 goals so far. Even Kovalev has trouble finishing plays...although he opens up so much space for others that we barely notice his blanks!
.....amazing...

For now, i will not post until the Habs beat the Leafs, hopefully on November 26th. I will continue to read the board. Once i do post it will be my 100th post. im in too much angony from the loss to the leafs to think straight, my thinking can only return once the Habs finally beat the leafs.
