Very optimistic, I hope you are right but like david I don't have the same feeling (hope I'm wrong). Kovy needs to do something cause so far he has been one of the worst players on the ice and that is almost never the case.

3-3. COULD YOU NOT JUST SENSE THE DISGUST IN COLE'S VOICE? It was almost as if he was vomiting as he talked about the goal.

Seems like Monsieur Bonk has become useful. Where's And-O? Let's hear it. Muller, so far so good. And Kovy scores. You are a fortune teller.

c'mon, let's pull this out.

Good for Bonk, btw. I like this guy and anything that gets his offensive confidence up is huge.

Why does Theo come out of his net to play the puck. That cost us the 4th goal. Leafs don't deserve to be in this game.

I knew begins hit post would come back to haunt us. The play by Theo caused that 4th goal. This should have been our game we played our hearts out  very bad. Is this the first time we have lost 2 in a row this year??

VERY VERY VERY SIMPLE ANYLISIS- We were not outplayed but Theo was outgoaltended. Belfour was the difference tonite. Theo sleptwalked his way through the game. The Beagle and about a half dozen goalposts stole the game for the Laffs. We outplayed them and outworked them in every aspect except between the pipes. Simple as that.

On the positive side we came back with a much much better effort tonite. But when you outshoot a team 34-24 (and many QUALITY chances) you should not lose 5-4.

I know remember though when we play Boston it is always lopsided and we win I love that. I remember Games years ago Dryden stops 45 shots to Montreals 15 shots on Boston. Same thing with Roy

when you get as many too many men on the ice as we do the coach is probobly the one to blame.

Yes we have had our problems with that, maybe they forgot they were on OT and only needed 4 on the Ice. We actually should have had these last two games. Boy we would have really been on our way if we had won both

We're still on our way though. A little adversity is probably good for the players. Disappointing to see Theo take a step backward though.

Out of all the hit posts, especially begins and the shots wide of the net, Theos play that caused that goal bothers me most of all. I guess you win and lose as a team, but the team tonight came back from 2-0  3-2 and worked hard and Theo let them down. Well we better win the next one  3 in a row would not be very good

Belfour had an off night last night and Theo had his tonight. I don't mind losing to the Penguins but losing to the Leafs really sucks especially when we outplay them like we did. Belfour was great in the first but was ordinary after that. Theo was subpar and that is what cost us this defeat.

I said it before and I will say it again. The OT goal went right over his right shoulder. In fact the 4th goal went over his shoulder too. LOL  But seriously goalies seem to go down to early and the shot goes over or right by the shoulder. I say he wouls have stopped that one if he was standing up. I praised him last week when he played three great games ina  row. So I should be easy on him tonight. It is that it was such a stupid play that casued the TO tying goal

It's true that Theo was a big reason for the loss, but I'll take his last nine games over the first nine games any day. So there is improvement. Slow, but it's there. I'm still optimistic.

I'm not ready to blame him on the fourth goal.  Any of the others okay, but that fourth goal was the luckiest bounce for toronto i have seen in my life.  As a goalie you can expect certain things when the puck is behind the net, (wraparound, pass out front, etc..) but for the puck to flip like that over the net and off your back and in is a little ridiculous.

Hey, we have not lost the last 2 games! Got a point in both. Stll recorded as 12 wins--3 loses.

Theo got outplayed yet again

Ribero is not a second line center. The sooner we figure that out the better.

for the first time this year I thought Bouilllion looked awful.

On a positive note. koivu continues to be consistently good and Bonk is doing his job of shutting down the big guns for the opposition.

Now if Theo would start outshinning the opposition goalies we would be cruisin!

The hit post by Begin came back to haunt us. We had 3-4 posts last night. Theo and a few others need to step it up. We did pretty well with Souray out. I hope they bounce back next game  3 in a row will be very bad

I though he played a very good game. People have been slagging him all year, but I think he's easily or third bast d-man (after Markov and Rivet) this year, and on some nights our best.

I actually thought Streit played one of his best games as well.

The fact that he is our 3rd best dman Nilsey is not a testimant to his talent. It is a testimant to our obvious lack of depth at that position. I ask you, aside from Pittsburgh, which team would Bouillon be the 3rd best dman on? not many. Certainly not even the Leafs. Saying that Bouillon is the 3rd best dman is equivalent to saying that Paul Martin is the best current Prime Minister.

Bouillon has played well enough this year to be a #3 d on most teams. This was one of maybe two bad games he's had all season.

That said, I totally agree that we need another top-line defenseman, because Bouillon has been overachieving. He can't play like that forever. Maybe last night was a sign that he's wearing down.

Bouillon was never supposed to be a top d-man for us anyway. Dandy and Souray are underachieving leaving guys like Bouillon, Rivet and Markov to pick up the slack. Shit, when Mark Streit starts to look like a viable option on the d-line, you know you have problems.
