Roenick
(Preview)
I would of loved to see Roenick in Habs uniform. He is fitting in well with Kings and demanding an honest hard work ethic from his teammates. He may not be the skilled player he once was but still above average. Also has great veteran leadership whether it's on the ice or off. He may shoot his mouth o...

Credit the Leafs!
(Preview)
The Leafs have identified that having a strong PP and PK in the "new NHL" mean success!
Pat Quinn should merit coach-of-the-year status so far, especially considering the hacks and rag-tag talent that their management has drafted and assembled! ...

Lost 3 out of last 4 games
(Preview)
The Habs have lost 3 out of their last 4 games. I know some of you will say we got 2 points out of the 3 losses but to me a loss is a loss. Come playoff time there is no such thing as free points.
Habs vs Pitts - Thibault steals game for Pitts
Habs vs TO - Belfour keeps Leafs in game until they can win

Game Thread MTL vs NJD 11/18/05
(
1 2
)
(Preview)
According to RDS.ca, Theo is still questionable. Would you risk it? I think we are alright with Danis and I'd prefer to see Theo not take a chance. I see another one-goal game, 4-3 Habs. Koivu will conitnue to score and is going to lead this team through this current injury bu...

My take on the Habs
(Preview)
My take is that we have had some fun the past 20 games, but now we will really see we were playing over our heads. We were winning games we should have lost, but now I think we will see this team begin to lose and fall in the standings. I know I will take some heat for this but we will be a better team in a year or two...

This team simply does not/will not compete for 60 minutes...
(Preview)
...and that, in my opinion, is the sole responsibility of the coach!
And-o has been a big fan of CJ (who my wife says is a dead ringer for Bill from "King of the Hill") up until this point. However, I simply can't recall 3 games this season where the Habs did not have a serious letdown at some point!...

Sit Souray
(Preview)
Please CJ sit Souray in third send a message. I would love to exchange him for two young prospects. You know when you are building a team, you pour the foundation and build upon it. The problem here is when we start to build the wall the previously laid foundation crumbles ala Bonk, Souray e...

Sorry this post is not in the thread
(Preview)
But I had to post this simple message. The Habs are playing like a bunch of back yard Sunday hackers. No confidence, looks like they are getting the Sourray disease. No enthusiasm satnd around let the puck come to you. its like they cannot wait for the third siren to ring so they can get home...

Don't look now . . .
(Preview)
But with the Canadiens being thoroughly outplayed by a (7-12) Washington team at the Bell Centre, the Leafs have all but wrapped up their fourth straight victory by leading Atlanta 5-1 in Toronto. That leaves the Habs just 3 pts up on the Buds. I really do not want to be looki...

Our special teams not so special!
(Preview)
Our PP has been struggling but noticed last night that our PK sucked! I can understand an average PP( lack of scorers ) but we should have a better PK ( many defensive forwards ). Maybe we miss Bonk more than we think! Or was it just merely poor goaltending last night?

What's the difference between the Theo who won the Hart & Vezina and the Theo of today?
(Preview)
Back then I didn't have the luxury of having NHL Center Ice and watching him play, so I am wondering how much of a difference is there between the Theo of back then and the Theo of today. Could it be possible that he is somewhat the same goalie, but players and coaches alike arou...

Thread for tomorrows game on Ribs only!
(Preview)
Let's pay close but objective attention to Rib's game then we'll comment on it. Just base it on the game and not his dive two seasons ago or how he has played prior to this as we all know he has had a slow start. In other words if he once fails to gain the zone or falls when checked, it doesn't mean that he...

Maple Leafs Fans in Boston
(Preview)
I was at the Laffs' 4-1 win over the Bruins last night. Happened to have our seats in a row right in front of approximately 3 or 4 full rows of Leafs fans. About half of them men, the other half women, almost all wearing some Leafs gear, mostly in their mid 20's to mid 30's. Ladies...

Back Up Goaltending situation
(Preview)
The whole debate over who should be the back up goaltender. Is very easy from my opinion. It should belong to Yann Danis, he is capable of playing 20-25 games. Which will also give him some experience. C. Huet hasn't played a hockey game in over a year. He is in no way capable of filling that role.&n...

I watched every minute of the game and I can't figure out why posters are saying Ribs had a terrible game? I seen many great passes that he gave Ryder, Higgins and the Defense coming in late. I also noticed that Ryder was the player that made poor puck decisions. There's two, two on ones that Ribs wa...

Theo versus Garon
(Preview)
I was checking out goaltending stats. Compare these two guys' GAAs:
Jose Theodore:
2003-04: 2.27
2005-06: 2.95
Mathieu Garon:
2003-04: 2.27
2005-06: 2.94
Not much to choose from, is there? They seem to be tracking each other. Even their Save % is close this year...
