My take is that we have had some fun the past 20 games, but now we will really see we were playing over our heads. We were winning games we should have lost, but now I think we will see this team begin to lose and fall in the standings. I know I will take some heat for this but we will be a better team in a year or two. So as we lose now to the leafs, sens , flyers and so on, just be proud of what we had accomplished. Better years are coming
I think I've said this before, but....that was what people were saying about the White Sox all summer. And they won their share of one-run games. I think this experience is good for us, and who knows what will come of it? Theo could assert himself, Gainey could bring in a defenseman, etc...

I agree, this team was playing over their heads, started to believe they were better than they really are. At least there was some effort earlier on, now they think all they have to do is show up and they'll be in the game.
We will be in tough till late Dec/early Jan (Kovalev's return). If we can somehow play .500 hockey till then, I'll be satisfied. But I'm afraid even that will be a high order for a team that has poor special teams, struggling goaltending, lacks a finishing touch on offense and has an "average" starting defense.
But, it was fun while it lasted, let's just make the playoffs and this fast start we had will surely help.
