I can see why
(Preview)
After watching this game and part of Ottawa game, I can see why there are more and more pulled muscle and groin pulls this year Talk about wide open.

Are the Habs an Average Team?
(Preview)
I have only been a hockey fan since the 2002 season. My dad (davidb) has been a Hab fan since the early 70's, or late 60's? Anyways, it seems that this year the Habs are a force (maybe when they want to be?). I have read other posters saying the Habs are an average team. Has it been luck that we have been winnin...

Game thread MTL vs BUF Nov 25, 2005
(

(Preview)
I remember saying that if Montreal lost to Pittsburgh that it would be the start of a bad spell. (At least, I think I did.) Anyway, I have the same feeling here. I'm confident Montreal will be alright in Buffalo, hopefully doing better than the twin 3-2 scores from ealier this seaso...

Do we have to beg for a 2nd line centre???
(Preview)
Honestly!?!?!? And-o shudders to think of what might happen versus the Leafs tonight with our "honey dipped donut" line-up (as in, BIG hole in the middle)!
Ribs is just plain awful...and has very little trade value now...and does Koivu look de-energized or what (which is no bloody wonder with t...

Temporary solutions at centre...
(Preview)
And-o likes JohnM's idea of using Pleks in the number two slot with Ryder and Higgins.
That would leave Saku skating with Zednik and Perezhogin...and Bonk with Bulis and Sundstrum.
And-o would use Ribeiro on PP spot duty and perhaps lead a solid line with Begin and Dagenais (sorry Steve)!

Zednik / Koivu / Ryder
Markov / Rivet
Second Line:
Bulis / Riberio / Begin
Dandenault / Boullion
Third Line:

Game review from other board
(Preview)
I can only hope that those of you who were watching this game got smart after a period and a half and went to do something useful. In front of the 17 Sabre fans in an arena that should be renamed The Big Snooze, Montreal failed to show leaving the Sabres to play against a bunch of kids taken off the street.

I didn't get to see the first 2 periods but it seemed the Habs were playing very tentative and as a result they weren't making things happen. Nice to see Zed score-maybe he will score a few tomorrow night. Had to compete with my wife (she is a Flames fan and their game was also on TV) the...

Difficult decision...
(Preview)
Difficult decision for CJ on who plays goal in the next back to back games! I would go with Theo against Sabres and Danis against Laffs. He shouldn't play Theo both games if he has a sore groin. Also Theo doesn't play well against Laffs!
Hopefully if Theo plays against Sabres, he can put t...

I think that CJ should consider giving Dagenais a more regular shift again!
(Preview)
.....and this has NOTHING to do with last night's shootout but - Dagenais does have a quick release...and he has shown a great nose for going to the net...and he singlehandedly creates "traffic" in front of the net!
In fact, And-o would have placed Dagenais in front of the net on the powerplay...

Habs an average team without Kovy
(Preview)
After watching the last 4 games without Kovy you can see why BG spent $18 million on this guy. When he's playing, you can see fear in the other teams eyes. If we were a goal or two down, there was hope for a comeback. Without him we need to have the lead and try to hold on because scoring has become difficult at...

Shootout Good Or No Good?

Now that the Habs have won and lost one shootout each what do you guys think of them? personally i still dislike them, they take away from the flow of a game.
