In your posts, your last statements always include a Ribs bashing. On one of your last posts, you mentioned a positive on Ribs. You stated that he played with grit and took a couple hits. Were you being sarcastic? I don't care either way as you're entitled to your opinions! I'm just curious.

I believe he was being serious. Muller doesn't hate Ribs, just expects more from him then his ditsy doodle moves.

Is it me or does it appear that when we enter the zone of opposing player, we appear to play around with the puck too much, and give up good scoring chances.

I think we get too fancy with our offensive - sometimes it really works and sometimes it doesn't, maybe most of the time it doesnt.

Muller hates Ribs but it was good to read a small positive from him. Maybe Ribs is finding a soft spot with Muller!

AB, it was a serious positive. I watch the games and honestly only comment on what I percieve to be truth. JohnM is correct, I don't hate Ribero, I just honestly have doubts about his capabilities as a second line center. From a technical standpoint, he just does not have all the required tools IMO.

Grit is one of those things that he REALLY lacks but in the Atlanta game he actually took some hits and placed himself into traffic to make plays. Do I think he is the type of player that will do this game in and game out like a Muller or Koivu? No, but I appreciate the effort.

I've always agreed that we shouldn't have to rely on him as a second line center but he has had to fill that roll in the last season and did an adequate job! I think CJ and Gainey are hoping that he can return to that form hence the patience from them to keep on that line. I hope the same as we are stuck with him for now! That is why I try to stay positive about him and hope that he can regain some offense of the last season. The frustration is that he does have the skill and shows glimpses that he can compete.

Very hard for me to win the Ribs pros pitch against the many posters that want him gone when he isn't playing well.

I still mantain though that he isn't 100% of the problem on the second line and the chemistry isn't there on some nights.
